I got it from a local seller on carousell. Though I have absolutely no clue as to how he got it. He also offered me the other SS-86 bots like Grimlock and Jazz, but I'm still considering it lol.
The hype is over eight thousand! This is the most impressive looking figure in the mainline that I've ever seen. I have 2 on order, and I just might get a 3rd to keep in box. This will be the figure to set the new standard.
It is, but at the same time - Heinkei Rodimus looks kind of alright, personally the comparison with the PotP Hot Rod really floored me. I know that one had a gimmick, but still. Picture is from the PrimeVsPrime review.
Probably the best looking Transformer to have just passively standing, he appears to passively throw shade at his prior incarnations. Like: "c'mon guys really"
I haven't been this hyped on a figure in a loooooong time. Can't believe I have to wait over 6 months....
Classics/Henkei Rodimus was not a slavish update but a re-imagining. With today's standard articulation, he'd be no worse than SS86 in what it intended to accomplish. IMO, I'd much prefer to have a line of straight deluxe-scaled G1 updates and a second line of re-imagined characters.
