All look good in general. I wish Grimlock had more toy influence re: deco, but I'm warming to him. Blurr's forearms though...look, I very seldom bitch about kibble. But these bifurcated walrus tusks are cracking me up.

I would have preferred if at least part of the. Could have folded into the nosecone? Of the vehicle, which ends up on his back.

Not completely but maybe, half of those parts, folded into the backpack, and then the remaining parts could still fold behind the arms but also fold in half to reduce the length

Without sparking another big scale argument, I wouldn’t be so sure it’s as rigid as 1:35 across the line. Whatever the allocated budget produces, that’ll be the size.

I'm surprisingly disappointed in Grimlock. Apart from the fact it just looks like a less good version of the masterpiece (that booty)...I was really expecting a show model version. There's never been a mainstream Grimlock toy based off of the show model, they've all been either toy inspired/a weird hybrid or an original design. That's 2 G1 style Grimlock's in a row I've been let down by

At this stage, just make him look like a T. rex and move past this.

Particularly impressed about Grimlock design. Besides old MP Grimlock, the best representation of the character in a regular line.

Can't believe this, after so many years!

That Grimlock has me so excited for the other Dinobots...

He's as big in dino mode as I hoped he would be, so fingers crossed that the others will be as well!:D

Flat plain show model accuracy is not the point of this line.

That's what masterpiece 2.0 is for

It's in reference to the Armada Optimus Prime figure Takara Tomy teased back in WonderFest 2019. We didn't see it again in 2020 due to Takara not really sure where to put the guy. Heck, for a few hours, we even thought it was dead, but it turns out not to be the case, according to Pixelmaster.

I'm sure there will be a RED series.
But I think this look Appeals to the majority of Transfans.

I was kinda being jokey when I said is cyclonus not as important. I know he is. In face I think overall he's seen as being bigger then scourge because of all his media coverage in recent years in both idw1 and 2. Scourge was largely forgotten about in idw1 and we haven't seen him so far in 2.

I just associate cyclonus and scourge as being a duo or part of a trio with galvatron. The greatest con trio imo.

We haven't seen him yet though other then being an accessory for unicron.

I'd love to see a galvatron in the studio line or at the very least kingdom rather then just a small bot with unicron. Galvatron is my favorite animated movie character and marvel UK bad guy.

    LOL.

On a serious note would love to see a junkion set of characters with wreck gar as leader. Maybe a voyager class with two deluxes or something like that

But its not though. It's Studio Series 86. As in a good representation of the movie models at a cheaper budget than the masterpiece. Which every other figure in the line is at least trying for (whether or not they succeed they're def trying). This guy though is a cheaper version of a 12 year old loveable but highly flawed design they've made less pretty. If you're entire line premise is "do the movie models" why not do the movie model...especially when you're trying to for everyone else and Grimlock is the EASIEST to do the movie model for since he's got the easiest, most well established transformation.

It's weird. I'm COMPLETELY tired of G1. Like I kinda hate Siege and Earthrise as line concepts (G1 as hell pretending to be space vehicles and G1). I want to see new characters or new creative takes. But the one thing they could have done which based on the core concept I actually expected them to do, was to make Grimlock look G1. As in the one people think of when they think of the character and who has never had a transforming figure. And then they do this. And I'm very weirded out by going "that's not G1". I mean ultimately I'd rather an IDW style or a T. rex that looks like a T. rex. But if you're going to do this, why do this?

I really would not be surprised if this was originally a partner piece for the seeker and intended for Earthrise.

But none of the other figures in the line are as flat and plain as the animation (aside from blur and wheelie).

Look at the panel lining and extra molded detail on Kup and hot rod.

If they were all exactly 100% like the animation then that would be very boring

The animation models are for the most part very plain. Not much detail on anyone. Modern figures especially studio series figures based on the bay verse are full of surface details that the animated movie character models never had. Look at optimus. The most famous of all transformers and he had a very basic look on terms of details. Simplistic blocky design which works but it means if hasbro are going for screen accuracy means the figures won't have any serious detail on them. I do wonder will we get a prime in the line and a megatron.

I think the designs shown so far are good bar maybe blurr who doesn't look great. I prefer his titan returns model.

Don't think the figure is finished yet so that may be rectified
