2/20/21 update: I WENT FURTHER WITH A MORE GENERALIZED OVERHAUL OF KUP: Minor/Repaint: - SS86 Kup overhaul 2/7/21 update: Looking at this face some more, I think another problem is the dark, beady eyes that are spaced a bit too far apart. So I opened the head and carved out some plastic on the medial aspects of the eye “sockets”, thereby making them a bit larger and closer together. I also hit the translucent eyes themselves with metallic blue paint to liven them up. This is the end result. Quick mod here. Finally got my hands on Kup. Like many, I was put off a bit by the head sculpt. The problem is two-fold: first, the excessively long, square jaw (similar to Kingdom Cyclonus), which subsequently makes the helmet appear too small. And second, the pointy, upturned nose. The following image courtesy of Ton Ton Review: Nothing can really be done about the nose, but the jaw seemed amenable to a little cosmetic surgery. And for better or worse, I’ve never been afraid to take a blade and needle files to a face sculpt. So, with a little cutting, sculpting, and shaping, we have something that I think looks more Kup-like: Overall I think it looks truer to the character.
