Internet can be beautiful sometimes, eh?

    morning, homie.

you know, even if bayverse starts getting fazed out of studio series, im still very grateful to SS for giving us such awesome toys, hopefully the line gets put to good use instead of the same characters again!

Why wouldn't Hasbro keep cranking out new toys of best-selling Bayverse characters, or even re-issuing old ones? It's what they do for G1 stuff; if there's real money in Bayverse, why wouldn't they do it there too?

i really hope they do that, it would suck for bayverse to be forgotten like the others.
speaking of the others, they gotta visit the other universes too

I’d love to see more Generation 2 and Unicron Trilogy updates at some point. If Hasbro devoted entire lines to them like they did with Beast Wars in Kingdom, that would be great.

The trick there though is return on investment. Hasbro knows that G1 makes money (it's a sure thing, despite the whining we see here from people sick of it, so it isn't ever going away). Modern-movie-verse must also be making money, as they're currently in the process of scraping the bottom of the barrel, after 13 years of continuous production, in terms of characters to turn into toys (and like I said earlier, I suspect they're about to go into repeat mode in the near future). Cyberverse is either making money or nearing that stage (because there's a steady stream of new toys and new gimmicks, even after the end of the series, an end which cannot have been un-known to the toy development section), and it uses evergreen character designs, so even though there won't be a 4th season of Cyberverse, there almost certainly will be a new series that looks much the same and aims at the same demographic (and with it, more toys).

Those are all known quantities; Hasbro can comfortably predict sales performance for all of them. They know what they can spend safely, and what they can get back from that expense. This is the sort of thing management (and the finance department) wants. It makes them all warm and fuzzy.

Anything else though... that's a risk. An unknown quantity. Not known for the wam-and-fuzzies. Big stumbling block there.

Now that isn't to say that it can't happen - clearly someone made a really compelling argument in favour of Beast Wars, and although it isn't my thing at all I'm happy enough to see it happen, because it means that Hasbro is willing to take these risks (and who knows what other risks might turn out something that is my thing). But I am saying that any other old line that doesn't have a very recent track record of making money is going to have an uphill struggle to get going. Even Beast Wars might have got only a one-and-done chance - part of a year's line, and if it doesn't perform, it's gone, 25th anniversary and all notwithstanding.

But yeah, you can hope. Might even happen, too :)

    ooooooOooOOoooOooOooOoOo
    Why’d you make Optimus die
All your previous CHUG figures I wish I’d never bought them all

    Carry on
    Carry on
Because Blitzwing really matters to me.....

He’s just poor boy from a poor family
Easy come easy go I don’t want to let gooooo

Looking forward to seeing Hot Rod but it sounds like Blitzwing is the 86 movie guy made before in previous lines but not being remade in the SS86 line.

What suggests that, out of curiosity? If anything, Blitzwing needs an update the most out of all the TFTM characters released in TR due to his finicky transformation. I figured Perceptor was more likely to be skipped.
