Yes, for the price I expected the figure to be a bit more solid too. And I’m finding challenging as well to pose the figure dynamically as a result. The legs being as light as they are makes the pose-ability of the figure overall quite limited. And what you said about the arms is exactly true.
But still it’s a great looking piece and I’m glad I have it. It’s fun and the boy loves it too.

Just got this guy--- WOAH! This is the new standard I want for TFs. More of this plz. This is the best G1 Hot Rod.

I will gladly buy smaller figures if they have this level of complexity, detail, articulation and sweet, sweet design aesthetic.

I'll need to fiddle with the figure for a week to make a final opinion but right now I wouldn't change a thing!

    What-the-what?
I pre-ordered this on Amazon thinking it would ship in April. And that's what I budgeted for.

    Supposedly it's coming tonight.

I just picked this guy up the other day. It’s got me psyched up for a Rodimus Prime. I hope it happens.

Jut curious, but can anyone take a pic of his ground clearance in car mode? That was the one part that annoys me about the MP, the fact that it was so close to the ground that if anything not tabbed all the way, it can lift the car up. Rollability kind of important for me.

Yeah, I'm going to have to get him. He's definitely going in my CHUG display with some of the more recent War for Cybertron trilogy releases of other characters. He scales perfectly and looks glorious!

My Hot Rod arrived today, and he's terrific. He feels weirdly small compared to other deluxe class figures, but he's amazing. The amount of panels and adjustments, and the really accurate look in both modes is awesome. Super excited to finally have this guy in my hands. Now to wait for Scourge and Kup to arrive...

I LOVE this toy! I'm just impressed at the transformation and the mold. It's so good that I'm hopeful for this update to the masterpiece version. I didn't like the original release of MP Hotrod so I skipped it. I got the FT version and he's close, but definitely lacking things to make me love him. This mainline toy immediately was like "This is Hotrod. Do this bigger and more articulated"
