still annoyed I can't find a single 1 in the wild. people keep buying them all either to army build or resell at extreme high markups on ebay and Facebook Marketplace.

 

So what's your guys plan with Scourge? Are you going to get a few more of him as Sweeps, or wait for the heavily rumored / leaked Sweep redeco?

I think I'd like to have three sweeps, yes, but the idea of them being identical to Scourge always struck me as just silly, so if I do it I certainly won't be buying more than one SS86 Scourge. Or a repaint. More likely I'll get two more TR Scourges.

 

I agree. Though I did like the POTP Rodimus. He needs a redo.

 

Well pre-studio series 86, my "Scourge" was Legends/Takara Scourge (the TR redeco), and my Sweeps were 3x TR Scourges with 3x "Sweep" heads from Legends Sharkticons. And that worked really well! Because I like Scourge being somewhat distinctive too.

Apparently Studio Series Sweeps are happening, but I have to decided whether to cancel my order for 3 extra Scourges or not. I probably should, but the Sweeps haven't been confirmed yet.

 

I agree they help Volcanicus, but not so much Grimlock on his own. The added height is nice but his chest still refuses to hold together and the dino mode looks weird.

Had no plans for rodimus but after having roddy in hand I definitely want one. You can see every pic there is but until you have him in hand you just can't appreciate him

 

Unless the sweep is substantially different I'm sticking with just one Scourge. I only recently started ordering repaints of the same mold (in my case, preordering the two seekers, despite owning ER Starscream, and ordering Nemesis Prime despite owning both Siege and ER Optimus Prime*).

Oh and, I ordered three Refractors too, but there's an obvious reason for that.

No way will I order a sweep that looks exactly the same as Scourge. And I definitely won't order any more Scourges, even if money and space were no issue. I'd prefer to own just one and give someone else the chance to have one as well. Granted, it's arguable that Hasbro should have produced more to account for fans who want to army build, but that's apparently not what happened.

*Nemesis might be a bad example since you do get extra goodies with him, and there are even two extra little transformers in the pack. I didn't order it for the little guys, though, but they'll be nice to have.

 

Maybe an add on at some point?

Finally got him.

 

I agree that the splitting chest is a pain and surprised that no one did any parts to snap it together via those small holes on both sides or something. And yes, the added height does make a bit of a difference for him, but it's funny how he ends up so small in dino mode.. the difference stands out even more, but it does make the tail section look better I find.

Rumors suggest he will be in Kingdom Commander class (Optimus Prime sized but with way more/better accessories).

 

I hoping for a modern rehash of the G1 toy. Massive articulation and cartoon accuracy.
