Wow, that decal absolutely fixes any issue I had with the dark plastic.

absolutely he is in my opinion, but I was never a huge fan of RTS Jazz, especially after the sizing adjustments made during the WFC Trilogy. He sizes perfectly with the Siege/ER figures and has a very intuitive and stable transformation

FANS, 1990-2018ISH: I don't want some Playskool crap that looks like a kiddie cartoon
FANS, NOW: Listen here Mister Hasbro Man, this shit better look like it walked right out of a cartoon for 6-8 year olds, I want cuddliness, you hear me, I need to imagine these toys delivering a PSA about downed power lines

Yeah, no. I always wanted toys that looked like what I saw on the TV, or in the comics (UK, specifically). And as much as I loved my toys, I hated that they didn't look like that.

I'm very very bored of cartoon accuracy over cool designs, but studio series Hot Rod is the perfect blend of both.

These three scale quite nicely together.

Nice. Reminds me of the UK Man of Iron comic.
But I think your angles might be off. You can see the underside of the bridge but the top side of Jazz. Maybe shoot him from a lower angle?

Love the car mode so much but whoever made the choice to cover his headlights in panel lines obviously didn't watch the movie all the way through because they were clearly established to be headlights.

Cyclonus honestly is a weird figure. Weird in a good way. On one hand he's got all the Quality of Life features we've come to expect now, such as wrists and ankle pivots. But at the same time his large size (he's huge for a voyager) and use of transparent plastic for his eyes and 'belly button' are more in-line from a figure from 2009-2010. Also, thank you Hasbro for NOT having his chest and canopy be translucent orange painted purple. I hate how many SS figures are large amounts translucent plastic (most carbots are like this).

Worked on a few cars so, yes. I assume you are referring to the grooves. Those are there to diffuse the light properly. And they have a very uniform pattern to accomplish that. And at the scale of this toy would be almost completely imperceptible. So for all these reason this is not that IMO.

Let's be honest. He didn't have said grooves in the movie anymore then it had all the other panel lines. It seems to me that they're just there for the same reason the other panel lines are there on the toy - just to make the sculpt look busier.

I really like the dark plastic... aside from the fact it obscures the Autobot logo, but that certainly sorts that.

I keep finding myself wavering on getting this chap, as I own the MP. I really like SS86’s robot mode, but I think the MP’s Version of the dinosaur is better.

    Silver>white.
More slender hindquarters and tail> Chunky botty -also moveable on the MP but that’s not a big deal for me...

.... but such a nice robot mode..... Gnnnnn... must..... resist....

you should definitely pick him up. He’s only $50. I personally have never opened my MP Grimlock because he’s too valuable. But this thing I’ll mess with all day. Yes robot mode is definitely better and the Dino mode is still excellent. Even though the MP Dino mode is a bit better, this one does have a poseable head. Not hampered by the tail gimmick of the MP.

Thanks for the recommendation, I may do that.

It's the same in (£50) here in the UK (as far as I can tell). To be fair it was a bit less when it first came out on preorder but it's mostly sold out now.

I prefer a combination of toy and toon aesthetics. Balance is good.
