No problem... glad to give you an idea of what I consider this figure's most annoying issue.

I played with it all evening, and it really takes away from what is a really nice figure.

    And as:

Did it tonight, and one side worked fine, the other, for a fraction too much removed I lost the "snap" but it's not something that really matter that much and doesn't affect the transformation at all.

The other thing that bugged me was that the rotation of the mushroom peg rested on a very square angle, which restricted the rotation if only by a tiny bit... so I decided to go for it and see if adding a few extra degrees for rotation might help a bit more.

Results: it is a very tiny change but I feel that it is an improvement... the extra bit of rotation towards the back helps give the arm a little bit more of a natural angle on top of your suggestion as both help take the arms off the side and front of the figure's side and chest piece.

The difference is small as heck, but I'm glad to have taken the chance.

Having done these two modification helps remove some to the pressure/stress points that with such small parts, feels better.

Does anyone have SS86 Grimlock and the FOC Grimlock weapons? If so, can I see him with them?

I could use a little something to relax. How about some smooth Jazz?

    Ah, much better.....

SS86 Jazz is the most worthy figure of this beloved character I’ve ever seen. For that classic G1 look, this is the best Jazz, EVER!! Definitely the best of the Wave 1 figures, SS86 is off to a strong start.

I think his proportions are perfect, just the right amount of chonk in the chest and his legs. Yet it’s nothing that’ll hinder him from doing some fancy footwork.

Car mode is gorgeous. The paint apps are beautiful and his signature racing stripe is just perfect to me. I love the shape and contours overall, but especially on the spoiler. Actually helps to hide the feet kibble hanging out the back, which is not as egregious in hand. Really the only thing I don’t like about this mode .....

Is where to store the damn gun. This typically looks ridiculous and unlike Kup or Blurr there’s not really an alternate storage option. Jazz is that damn tight in design and style. This figure is just very well engineered, clear plastic angst aside. Just be gentle with the roof/windshield piece. It’s not really terribly finicky to the point where you feel like it’ll crack, just be mindful of the door positions when folding everything up. Despite this, his transformation is actually pretty simple, but so fun and satisfying. And so is his background.

Quite a good rendition of his Moonbase 1 control room. I love being able to see Moonbase 2 (or maybe Cybertron?) in the background of the background. Definitely makes for a fun display option.

I am absolutely over the moon(base) for Jazz. He’s one of my top 5 favorite Autobots and I love that he’s finally got an awesome figure to bust some moves and some Deceptichops. No knock against RTS Jazz which is still a great figure, but I’ve always preferred screen accurate Transformers and SS86 Jazz. IS. IT!!!

I've got orders in at Amazon just have to wait till April when release date appears then. My orders are studio series Hot-Rod,Kup,Blurr but Jazz I'm just not really sold on his look. Jazz really needs those doors out on each side of Jazz and which he doesn't have now. If the figure had those doors I'd buy that figure but that's my only complaint on this Jazz.

Your touchups on Jazz look great! For the lights on the back of the vehicle mode, are there actually panel lines for the individual lights molded into it? I can't really tell from the picture.
Yeah, I hope it doesn't hurt our chances of getting a proper transforming Wheelie sometime soon. (Not that I'm expecting one since there wasn't anything about it in the leaks, but you'd think it wouldn't be hard to at least reissue the TR mold in the Takara Legends colors.)

Yep! There are panel lines. But I'm not entirely sure whether or not they were actually meant for the tail lights.:p

They're about as close to where they should be as they can get with his feet being there, so good enough for me:

    That is awesome. Love it.

Well this line is about the movie and he didn't have door wings in the movie.

I'm still not understanding why people are wanting things out of this line that aren't in the movie. It just boggles my mind.

Found a Scourge at Walmart. It wasn't ringing up the price. Cashier looked on her phone, couldn't find it and typed the price in at $7.88. I just kept my mouth shut. :D

You know, I forgot that while my closest Walmart doesn’t stock any G.I.Joe, Star Wars, ML, and really any TF, it has kept a small stock of Studio Series. Looks like I need to make an excuse to pay a visit.

Same as all the 5mm holes under the feet of the WFC toys - blast effects and weaponisers.
