So does SS86 Starscream come with the end of his foot blown off or do we have to do that ourselves?
It might be the extra crispy repaint with a crown
A new Blitzwing is rumored for next year. I forget if it's SS86 or Evolution though.
I would be okay if SS86 Starscream was a Leader figure that came with crumbled feet, and a crown molded to Galvatron’s foot in addition to the other rumored accessories. Except the throne, not thrilled about that idea adding to the cost unless it’s from the packaging.
I know I've said this a hundred times, but that background makes any figure look amazing.
Thanks! It really does make 'em 'pop', doesn't it?

Further to my recent post, the Nonnef upgrade kit for Grimlock did arrive yesterday!
I was a bit nervous about unscrewing parts of the figure to fit bits but it turned out to be a very easy pleasant process. One of the arm panels seems to loosen a bit too much every time I move it (I’m not really a fan of using a loose screw as a hinge either. Wondering about the wear over time, but I don’t transform my figures that often) but it’s close enough. Colours don’t quite match (but they rarely do with these kits), but they don’t look bad. I am tempted to paint all his teeth silver, and maybe the end of his tail and T-Rex arms while I’m at it (I.e. the white bits) but I’m a bit nervous about making a mess of it. Advice appreciated. Acrylic silver paint? Chrome? I’m guessing brush or pen would be best to use over spray unless I plan to do some disassembly.
The most awkward part for me was connecting the sword bits together. It seemed to take so much pressure.... then I realised I had the blade in the wrong way round. Yes, I ended up making a hash of the item that should have been most easy to assemble.
Sword looks great in his hand, and clears the claws nicely.
Chest plate was as I hoped. I went for tinted, and it got the tone just right to allow the Autobot sigil to be easily seen.
Overall very pleased with the purchase. I do wish the bits arrived free of their frames and the lumps etc arrived filed down. (Even the chest piece, that arrived free had a small lump at the bottom edge.) I know it’s more for manufacturer to do but we do pay quite a bit for these kits. I made the mistake of using sandpaper (I should have just trimmed it with a knife) and ended up scuffing parts that didn’t need it along with what did. Thankfully those edge sections are mainly hidden. Not that big a deal, and I’ll admit I enjoy the assembly aspect of these kits.
Me 1986: I hate this character
Me 35 years later: I still hate this character!
the hot rod toy for this line might be one of my top 10 transformers ever
Name of the 2022 line it seems
Grimlocks: the original, the new and one in between.
Let me fix that for ya, buddy.
Needs more goalposts.
I get by with what I have. Sorry
I was kidding. Just watched Breakfast Club again for the 15th or so time and the Judd Nelson walking away scene is always enjoyable.
