SS86 was created to fill in gaps made by postponing the next live action series. All the figures were originally designed for the WFC line. We don't even know at this point if the line will continue, but given how successful it seems to be, I imagine they will look for some way to keep it going.

Outside the logos there isn't a huge difference between the toys and the movie colors, so I'm not sure Bee or Cliffy will get a new release any time soon, though it would be a way to get the Bee mold out for those who missed it. With a new live action movie supposedly coming next year there might not be much room in the line for more 86 toys, but maybe in 2023? If the movie gets bumped again I could certainly see (and this is totally irresponsible conjecture) minor deco tweaks to characters like Bee, Cyclonus, Springer, etc and using them to fill out the line. Just not counting on it in the near future.

What’s the best Bruticus on the market to scale with WFC/SS86 figures? I have the weijang ko oversize warbotron version and it’s really good but it’s too big imo. Zeta toys probs it’s too big as well but it looks great. I also really like the unite warrior is bruticus but for a deluxe bases combiner (excluding Onslaught) I think anything over 200 for the box set is a bit too much. Any suggestions?

It does, but at the same time, one needs to resist the "newitist" pull. The good news is that I've been finding it easier to resist lately as I'm finding quite a few of the latest figures to simply do nothing for me as the last versions (or even older) have actually been more than good enough, some even better than the new versions except for a bit of articulation and plastic quality, but even then, not by much if at all..

With the mess of the Netflix releases for so many figures, especially BB, I would almost be surprised that they don't re-release him as an SS86... he's probably the biggest "wtf" from Hasbro in as long as I can remember.

The more I play with my combiners, the more I find that my CW Devastator is the proper size for him and have ended up ordering a Jinbao Bruticus even if I have the CW version as I'm finding that larger fits better. Maybe not for all of them, but some do need to be larger than others to scale better.

You just gotta make like Megatron and accept that you are getting sucked in.

That’s interesting because I do have the KO Titan Predaking and I think it looks great and the Weijiang Bruticus is about the same but in the case of Devastator I got the downsize version and some how it still looks good. I guess it comes down to what figures are scaling with the combiners. I think most average deluxes in WFC/SS86 look good with the CW/POTP sized combiners yet leader class figures look a little too big. I guess I can’t decide because I have combiners of each size but I feel like I should keep the combiner scale uniform so Titan class baseformers the Fort Max and Metroplexo look huge cuz they are. This has been a back and forth rant but I want to know what size combiners everyone has to display with WFC/SS86 thanks guys!! :D

    No sword? No problem.

I don't generally take pictures with the camera flash on but Grimlock's gorgeous deep blue metallic visor is so difficult to capture without just blending into his black helmet

I love, LOVE, Vulcan's look. I'm past wanting "toon accuracy".

I happened to see SS 86 Grimlock and picked up after a thought - and I gotta admit, for a 3rd of the cost of Vulcan, that is damn good Grimlock.
I'm glad to have studio series 86 Grimlock. I may pick up Vulcan in the future, but I loving SS 86 'Lock.

Finally got my hands on Grimlock and Jazz. I don't know how much cohesiveness this shelf has, but they're just my favorite autobots/dinobot.
