Mine is 03231 on back of the box and no cracks after one careful transformation so not sure how helpful that is.

Got my second in, 02891. It's hard to say if it's the batch, but I am happy to say the tolerances are overall much better, the hood especially clicks in easier and the hinge attachment is smoother, so I'm not worried. Still do need to trim those leg tabs though, getting them out it still a hassle with how tight they fit in.

I'm seriously thinking about replacing my POTP Jazz with this guy. THIS IS WHAT JAZZ IS. The POTP figure felt so cheap, hollow, and worse of all it was my first TF figure. Jazz is my favorite character and I deserved better. Seeing the upgrade kit with the stickers makes me want him even more.

I thought he seemed a bit on the short side in the pics, like he was missing part of his midsection.
Not in hand though, he feels like straight up Jazz once you get him out of packaging & start messin with him.
    He’s a win.

Fits right in with the crew.
(The shelf is going through conversions at the moment.)

Jazz was always my favourite character, and this figure looks great in both modes.
But my copy has the same cracked windscreen as others. It also has a crack at the other end of the roof (eventually the two will meet in the middle), and a crack at the back on the right hand side in the white plastic where the wheel pin is.
I don't feel like I've been especially rough with the figure, only transforming it a few times, but I did leave it in car mode for quite some time.
Can't imagine how long it would last in the hands of an 8+ as the box suggests.
The number on the leg was 02891, so I don't think that means much.

I finally bit the bullet and ordered Jazz from BBTS. I received him today.

The number imprinted on the bottom-right-hand corner of the back of the box appears to be different from the others reported in this thread: 03251. The number imprinted into Jazz's inner-right leg is 02891, however, just like most other people.

I haven't transformed him yet. I may put that off until "tomorrow" (i.e. after I get up; I'm rather nocturnal). But I did gently test the two hinges connecting the windshield to the hood, and they feel very smooth. Not loose, not tight. So I'm moderately hopeful that this is going to work out. Even so, thanks to everyone in this thread, I know to be gentle and careful with those hinges.

    Fingers crossed!

I got mines today and transformed it. There's no cracks anywhere. As far as I can see my copy is flawless for now.

I have. They are . But I recommend some twizers because some stickers are tiny like the mirrors and tail lights. Also shipping is stupidly slow. Took 3 weeks from NY.

On a side note while semi transforming him, my windshield cracked as well. It's small now but I think it's spreading. If you use the window stickers, which I didn't, you can hide the cracks but I don't know if it'll prevent it from cracking more.

Sweet, I may have to order a set then. And I've got a similar issue as well, I transformed him again today thinking I'd just be extra careful. But nope, the crack started to get bigger.

My solution is going to have to be that I never ever ever try and push the clear plastic in flush. Seems to be okay like this.

it usually just breaks from transforming it, even if you dont push it flush

It seems like an either or. You know right away if yours is faulty because it breaks right away. If it hasn't broken yet, it's probably the good one.

That's what I thought when it didn't break after 3 transformations. But hopefully yours wont' break. Keep us updated if it does.

Looks like Jazz is getting repacked next wave. HOPEFULLY they've listened to the breakage issue.

I was doing a little photoshoot with Jazz (see CHUG Appreciation Thread) and noticed a number on the bottom of his left foot. I couldn't remember if that had been discussed. Thankfully, no cracking on mine yet, but I'm very careful anyway.

(Special thanks to Gnaw for propping Jazz up for the photo. Thanks, buddy.)

Mine has the same number and a cracked windshield (though it hasn't actually shattered yet.)

    Same number. Cracked.
