Smokescreen38 just confirmed to me that his Jazz, which also hasn't had any problems, is stamped 02891.

 

02891 here also. No crack. I've transformed it into car mode and pushed the windshield in with considerable force to snap it tight. That was before I heard about the crack issue and didn’t know better.

 

02891 here too. Transformed it a couple times, although being very gentle just to be safe. No cracks yet.

Is the number on the back of the leg the same one on the back of the box? Just asking because I've only seen one number reported for the inner leg. How do we know all Jazz figures don't have the same number on the inner leg, even bad ones?

 

@Yuuki reported that theirs has the number 03151 on the leg. So that would be two different manufacturer numbers. Not to open old wounds, but it would be helpful if people with defective copies indicated what manufacturer number is on the inside of the leg.

 

Yuuki was looking at the box not the leg. So we don't have a different reported number on the leg.

 

Mine has 02891 but does have a crack. I was very careful and only transformed him once. The crack was very small initially but is now almost grown to the top of the windshield.

 

My jazz has the code on him. But still iffy on transforming him

I’ve transformed mine multiple times (not super carefully either since I didn’t even know bout the issue) and no sign of a crack. Mine is also 02891 btw

 

Yep, I was under the impression we were talking about the box since that's what we were looking for on TR Trypticon.

 

02891 here and so far no crack BUT I’ve got other issues like the front windshield edge not laying flat and the rear roof pegs being way too tight - already sanded those down.

 

The box is certainly worth exploring too. I listed the number printed on the box of mine, which is not broken

 

Oh thank god, mine is a 02891 as well. No cracks seen, though I still hesitate to transform him.

 

I'm not sure what the difference is between the leg stamp and the stamp on the back of the box but I know Blackarachnia got a chest tab fix in later runs based on the # on the back of the box. Maybe we should be tracking that instead of the leg number. If anyone has a cracked windshield and the box still, would you mind sharing the stamped number on the back of the box? It's usually near the bottom.

EDIT: so far I've seen 03021 and 03151 reported as not having any cracks after multiple transformations

 

I no longer have my Jazz box, but my Kup has 03021 on the box while the figure has 03011 stamped on it...so I’m not sure how useful these numbers will be for identifying a good Jazz.

 

Looks like he's just going to be an Action Master to me. I've not yet transformed him, and I won't be doing so now.

 

For what it’s worth, the number on my Jazz is 02891. Mine has the crack but it’s quite small and hasn’t grown at all after owning the figure for several weeks.

 

Cracked windshield on mine and it's a 02891. Windshield crack is small. There's a crack on the roof but it's been covered up by the Martini Racing stripe.
