Damn, subtle articulation like this is making me actually want this figure, but the hollow areas still really bother me. You really like the figure?

Alt mode is ok in terms of hollow plastic syndrome. For bot mode, the main areas are forearms and calves. I expect a 3p forearm covers set to come out but not for the calves (at least a non-partsforming solution).

I really like the transformation... Until the end when you're squeezing those shoulder sections into alt mode. Too much finagling and smooshing imo.

If I'm being honest with myself, I know I'll end up selling these a few years down the road... The movie designs (even these cool G1 updates) just don't really mean anything to me. I've sold off almost all of my movie stuff (keeping MPMs for now). I just can't rationalize spending another $100-200 to complete these Bumblebee movie figures (which only appeared on screen for 2 minutes).

The details on this figure are top notch, however. As you're twisting and turning everything you can't help but notice all the great molding he has. A great figure for those of you who like to touch up or repaint.

Yeah the forearms really bother me. I can't stand how they've been doing that more and more recently. That and the face design being really offputting (IMO) are why I haven't gotten this figure yet. The rest seems pretty nice.
I kind of feel the same. They're nice designs for the most part but they'll all change for the next movie, and the ones that will never appear again only got a second of screentime. So I'm being much more selective with these figures as opposed to the bayverse stuff where I get most of it (I love the complexity and alien nature of the designs). So far these BBM figures have been great but I don't feel that attached after the initial fun factor wears off. I do love Brawn though, and I definitely plan on getting Arcee. I'm on the fence about the others.

The hollow areas really don’t bother me. The legs are fine, and I’m sure someone will come up with some forearm fillers if that’s the issue for you.

Out of this wave of BB movie bots this guy is my favorite. I do enjoy the other two, but I really like this guys bot mode. The head/neck joint is really great, and wish more bots would use that connection type. I actually really like the alt mode. It just seems perfect for the aesthetic. And the transformation is a lot of fun IMO. I couldn't really ask for more for a deluxe figure. Great value and fun.

I really like BB Ratchet. He looks great in both modes and a fun transformation and even has light piping. But they really should have made him a voyager. Maybe one day someone will make an OS KO.

Anyone able to do some photo comparisons with this to TFP deluxe Ratchet?

UPDATE: for whatever reason, the figure's gun no longer pegs in securely into Ratchet's hand. Now it flops out with little effort. Not sure why, it was fine when I got it.

Ratchet holds other toy's guns well, and the gun fits tightly into the hands of other figures, so I have no idea what the issue here is.

The blaster's peg is fine. The open hand designs often become loose.

One can use heat to force the hand to be tighter.

I like the design, and I like both modes, but getting between them is... tricky. There's so many different parts all flipping orientation, it's very easy to lose track of where you are with that. I had to redo the legs about five times my first pass through.

I will say I felt the same at first, but as time went on things get way more clear. The fact that everything has a dedicated tab and hole helps guide parts together as there's only one way you can get them lined up, and once those "set in" it's a breeze. I honestly find him more fun to transform than Wheeljack, whom I love.

Cool enough deluxe. My copy has a very floppy waist, and for some reason, the entire upper right leg and torso panel are molded in a slightly different shade of (off-)white. Huh.

Not too bothered by it, however. It’s a fun desk toy!

Love...LOVE...this figure. Really reminds me of the 1st wfc prime.

There is SO much detail on this guy...don't miss this one.

Dude I love the amount of detailing you added. It's perfect! Doesn't look like he rolled around in oil puddles or threw himself down the side of a mountain but he's not clean and shiny either and all those details really do pop.

Wow, he works as a pretty good stand in! In my collection Siege Ratchet fills that role (together with Siege Ironhide), but this is a nice fist as well!

The hips on mine are quite lose. Tried to tighten the screw, which worked (strangely enough) for one side, but not the other. Oh well, wanted to try out Kiki oil anyway. He will be my first test subject. ^^

I dig this Ratchet. Just wish it was a little bigger.

I just sold my Prime Ratchet. Those clear roof panels always scared the crap out of me.

I always liked the design though and this pic highlights how nice I think this design is. Crazy small as it is. Actually as both are.
