That's a flathead pin. It should not have come out in the first place.

This is what it should look like. The flathead part of the pin is at the bottom of the recess.
    flathead.jpg

When you try to put the arm back in, does the flathead pin fully go into the recess or not? If it goes fully in, you're gonna need a new figure. That means there's not enough plastic for the flathead pin ridges to bite into and stay in place. Superglue or epoxy will not fix that as it's not enough to handle the forces on that joint.

If the pin does not want to go in all the way, then you may be in luck but the fix would be quite difficult to do without damage. You would carefully use a soldering iron to heat up the pin and drive it in all the way. This joint has what I call a buried flathead pin and those are the worst as it's very easy to knick the surrounding plastic causing permanent melt damage. Using a pinpunch would be risky as it would likely crack the joint.

Even then...simplest solution is to exchange for a new figure.

So...there's absolutely no way to lock Devastators little "hat" on, is there. It's like they changed the molding on parts and forgot to update other parts to match.

EDIT: I did finally get it to lock on. Not sure if this is the official placement but I'll be damned if I can find another way for that curve in it to match the mixer drum and stay attached. IMG_20200902_220217268.jpg

You might want to check out @Puulis 's post here. He found that two of the sets of posts that hold the sides of the grinder drum together block it from locking on place. Cutting that extra plastic out apparently lets it click tightly in place.

    PSA TO ALL OVERLOAD OWNERS:
The primary Devastator waist/Overload upper torso ratchets are extremely susceptible to breakage over time! I advise disassembling that portion and shaving the parts of the ratchets down until it’s more of a soft thoop feeling.
EDIT: A better solution is to do a full counter clockwise turn of all the screws in his butt plate in the event that none of your ratchet components have already started cracking.

Posts like these would be a million times more helpful if there were actually pictures to go along with it. Adding pics isn't even that hard since most people who post on this site have working cell phones.

I had stripped a screw on it at the time on reassembly so I wanted to get it out there in the event that I couldn’t get it back apart. As it happens I did end up getting it apart and had added pictures everywhere else I mentioned this, but the complete inactivity of this thread made it slip my mind.

hips would be a more accurate statement, the figure does not have waist rotation

Personally I had a bit of frustration on the alt mode, getting it level, due to the hips being tight. For Devastator mode, had to scrape the connectors on Longarm just slightly, then it slid on smooth (no issues with Rampage). The hat and Overload's legs just seem to sit there as decoration (insert typical rant about purple-on-dark-grey instructions so I can't see clearly if I'm missing anything), but since he'll stay combined, I don't hugely mind. Pegs clean and strong with Scavenger. Time to pass the old Supreme down to the next generation.

Out of all the Constructicons, Overload's alt mode suffers the most from having to combine, but the 'bot mode more than makes up for it imo. Aside from omitting a pair of legs, he's surprisingly accurate to the four-legged concept design, down to the now fake wheels on the inside of his legs.

The leg transformation shares similarity with Long Haul's, where very few simple steps turn the majority of their respective truck front mass into these tree trunks of legs. Although incredibly top heavy, Overload is very easy to balance thanks to clever joint placement and large foot prints with heel spurs which form a steady base. Use the thigh swivel well, you can get him in some very dynamic poses and still well balanced.

The four arms are also mostly accurate, and coupled with the wide shoulders, give Overload such an awesome shelf presence. All the painted red looks nice and adds another layer to the color palette.

Overall, another favorite of mine in the set.

This guy may be my favorite of the SS Constructions. Yeah, the alt mode is a bit compromised and the arm articulation is a bit weird, but he does have that big, chunky presence and simple, yet effective transformation. He almost feels like a Cybertron era figure in heft, and ratchety-ness.

Overload is a fairly cool chonk of a bot.

Devastator is large, heavy, unwieldy, and not much fun.

Devy is a display piece. Not much fun to actually mess with. Take a few photos and then leave as is on display.
