Takara is forced to withhold pre-orders until Hasbro officially reveals it. Or rather, Takara doesn't want to put something up for pre-order which they can’t show yet, and Hasbro doesn’t want Takara to show something they want to reveal at Toy Fair.
I saw this and i let out a little squee in my head. Sentinel is my favourite character in the bayverse, and amongst my favs across the whole franchise. This thing will be bought on sight.
It doesn't matter if he claimed the title of Decepticon or not. Just because he still had the Autobot symbol and never outright worked for Megatron, doesn't mean he wasn't sided with the Decepticons. He abandoned the Autobot ideals and embraced those of the Decepticons. He became a Decepticon in nature the minute he decided he was willing to sacrifice millions of innocent lives for his own personal desires
I think Sentinel\'s going to come with at least 1 of the pillars since it looks like there\'s something packaged next to his leg in the box which could easily be that, interesting choice of accessory but I\'m down for it.
it looks too short and cylindrical to be a sword, or a gun, which is why I believe it to be the pillar.
Yeah killing Ironhide is making me not wanna pull out my wallet for this guy. But at the same time there's only so many Transformers voiced by Leonard Nimoy.
Exactly. He should be less than a head taller than OP, and considering there are voyagers that tower over OP that shouldn't be a problem. I'm just worried about how many accessories they're gonna be able to package him with. He really needs three things. I know A Sentinel is real, I'm saying I hope THIS one is real.
He definitely has his rust gun. He needs his sword and shield too. I just hope they aren't too undersized. His shield is literally as big as a carbot and his sword isn't much smaller.
Regarding the earlier discussion about him having the sword, I just opened the studio 07 Megatron last night and that had the long mace weapon entirely hidden behind the "Transformers" panel so it seems a lot more likely to me now.
His shield is thick, too. It definitely houses a lot of the mass of the vehicle mode, so if it is included I hope it folds or something so it’s not just a thin piece of plastic like leader OP’s pathetic dotm shield.
How did you approach Jetfire with that dilemma? Or Drift? If you got them because they were Decepticons who defected to the Autobots, logic would suggest that you don't get this figure because the opposite applies.
Well, he's what Hasbro calls him. If Hasbro wants to call him a Decepticon, that's that. Same probably applies to Lockdown, who has been called a Decepticon by Hasbro for ages despite being technically "unaligned". A previous toy of his had scratched out Autobot insignias. Maybe the same will apply here. It sounds functionally the same as being an actual Decepticon, though.
