Uh...yeah...but it just seems like a weird inclusion here as it has 5mm pegs on both sides.

It may have another purpose in combined mode

Fiddled with him, transformed him. Really like him. Very tight, solid, chunky. Love his design in bot mode (I have always loved the movieverse constructicons), great head sculpt. Transformation is fine, not too simple and has a few neat touches. Alt mode is fun, solid, lots of movement with the bucket. Some great detail in both modes, the robo spine is a good touch. Cannot wait to get Rampage and then the rest (Hightower, Mixmaster and Longhaul in particular I'm excited for, also really can't wait to see what they do with Demolishor and Overload).

I love this dude. He kinda looks like he's got a big yellow diaper on and I think it makes me love him even more.

A few pictures I thought you all would enjoy. Comparing him to RotF voyager Mixmaster. It's the only constructicon I have out right now as both the deluxe RotF Rampage and voyager Long Haul are in storage somewhere.

I just realized the claws on his right hand weren't painted black like the left hand is, so I did that. Highly recommend people do the same, it makes his hands just...match?

Amazing purchase! This guy is a fantastic agreement beween style of Baymovies alien bots and the toons .Hands and proportions are best things same for vehicle modes. Still prefer toon design for everything and I'll skip him only because I don't buy movieverse, but I like thinking this bot is a realistic Scavenger toy and body is absolutely superior to ROTF version and is worthy to be bought.

I got this guy and Rampage recently despite trying to not get into collecting the SS Constructicons. Of the two, I like Scrapmetal a bit more. I really feel like he should have been called Scavenger as he comes off a lot like G1 Scavenger. XD

Also something I thought was amusing, looking at Rampage's instructions for Devastator, it states that Scrapmetal wasn't supposed to be released until "Early 2020".

My Walmart just stocked several of these. I really like the way he looks, the excavator mode, and the fact that he's based on concept art (you don't see that too often). I generally gravitate towards obscure characters like this. The only thing holding me back is the Devastator gimmick. I don't intend to buy all the Constructicons, that's just too expensive.

A question for anyone here...would you say this guy is a satisfying toy on his own, or does the combining gimmick dominate it? Also, is he sturdy and have a fun transformation?

The combine-mode doesn't really affect the bot or alt-mode. He really does hold his own as his own figure imo. Mine feels sturdy, no looseness, the joints are pretty tight so had to massage some.

My only issue with the figure is that Devastator's left hand in the film was a small yellow bulldozer & this guarantees hell for my nit-picking.

    Otherwise, it's a solid figure.

Love this guy. Very fun to mess with. Very sturdy in all modes. His design feels like some of the hybrid CHUG/Movie style figures they did during the HFTD line (like Lugnut, Terradive, Bludgeon).

Is there actual concept art of him? I know he only appeared in vehicle mode on screen, but curious if the robot mode had an actual basis to go off.

Only this one - but it's inaccurate to the figure

Very nice, so there was definitely inspiration taken, but they went in their own direction in order to give us three solid modes. Awesome. Helps that he didn't show up on screen so they had a little flexibility.

There's that - but in the movie, the left hand was made from a small yellow bulldozer & had 5 fingers.

I just picked up this figure today, and I can say it's a solid figure and I have no issues with mine. Only thing I don't like about it, is that it's really short esp if you chicken leg him which I refuse to do but, that's the only "issue" I have.
