Got mine today at a local comic shop. He's a great figure! A little fiddly, but t could be my sausage fingers! If anyone is interested I made a video review:

Super stoked to have this design!

Ooooh, good idea! I JUST saw my Scourge trailer as I was going through the archives the other day, I'll go dig it out and take some pics.

Can he not look up and down? I heard his head can only spin 360, is this true? Great review too!

I think the neck is a ball joint, but there's no room for any up-down movement.

I have both things, but I cannot photograph them connected, as they will not connect. I'm not sure Scourge's trailer peg is 5mm to start with, but either way the peg ends well above where Bee Prime's hitch sits, so connection without some kind of adapter isn't gonna work.

Maybe the Mechtech trailer would show better results? I don't have one of those to test with, unfortunately.

Damn, we finally get a Prime with a realistic rear profile, and the best trailer won't work. I know that the peg diameter will be fine, it slips into Siege Prime's rear hole (yeah, I know how that sounds...reads) just fine (loosely, so less than 5mm), and both the Siege hole and SS38 hole are designed to hold 5mm gun handles. So I guess I just need to figure out a way to extend the peg. Oh well. Thanks for checking.

Any chance someone could pose him with some of the new diaclone bots and dianauts? He really reminds me of an updated version of the G1 toy, feeling like he could fit in pretty well depending on scale and such.

I’ve only had him for a few minutes but he’s awesome! Gonna paint him up as soon as I do a vanilla photo shoot.

It’s a ball/socket neck but it’s a shallow socket and super tight so it’s very restricted. I sanded the ball down on mine and it’s not so tight anymore, plus he can look up and down a tiny smidge now.

I think he would scale fine so long as you don’t mind an approximately 33’ tall Optimus Prime (if a 1.2” diaclone pilot is 6’ than a 6.6” Optimus would be 33’).

is it possible to close the Breastforce windows in bot mode? Or are they permanently lifted-and-separated?

It actually DOES work. The trailer does sit high but the peg is long enough and fits into the hitch socket enough for Prime to pull it with all wheels rolling.

They are pegged into place like that.

I think I'd prefer Evasion Prime with that head. I don't know but this figure just doesn't look that good to me. Like a fake Optimus Prime. The weird open gaps and realistic parts look a bit off with the parts that make it look like a cartoon Prime.

It's a G1 design without looking like G1 Optimus and a movie design that doesn't look like Movie Optimus.

That hybrid of G1 and movie styles is exactly what I love about this figure. Can't wait to get it in hand! (Too bad the regular retail release is probably a couple months away).

For people that want that, this figure is perfect. Overall it looks like a quality Studio Series release. I think it is the lack of a truck grill beneath the windows and the non G1 crotch that is the issue for me.

Yep, it’s a perfect hybrid and truly what I was hoping for with the 2007 film (though I appreciate that Prime as well). Hopefully retail release is soon so more people can enjoy it and so I can buy another! I rarely buy doubles but this is one of those special releases where I want a backup copy.
