Hello all! This is my second Transformers review and I'm super happy to really have this guy in hand! It's the one and only, Volkswagen Bumblebee! I am so in love with this figure, oh my god. This figure is literally so cute. Is it weird I'm saying that? Oh well. So, the backdrop he comes with is in fact Charlie's garage(yes, we know). There's some speakers, tools, apparently another car on the right that's being worked on, and other junk. I'm honestly a bit curious about how this movie will turn out, especially with Travis Knight now directing it. Onto vehicle mode: Okay, I have to admit. Getting this guy into vehicle mode was such a pain. Things came undone but that's probably just me being a dodo bird and not doing it correctly. Honestly, I gotta love the little beetle. It's so damn cute and pretty small in my opinion. Also, the Volkswagen symbol is actually located right on the hood near the front windshield. It's unpainted and my lighting is pretty poopy. But, it is there and I didn't even notice. Onto robot mode: I really love this robot mode. He looks so cute and I like the accessories he comes with. The machine gun looking thing is pretty cool. It's painted pretty well and is quite small. His chainsaw blade is also pretty small and I didn't really think it'd be that small, nor did I think Bumblebee would be this small. His mask really gives me the Animated Bumblebee vibes. It looks very nice on him nonetheless! However, I do want to say to not lose any of these pieces! They can be lost so you can store the mask/face on his wings and the arms on the back of him. Or, have tiny plastic baggie and keep them in there and around Bumblebee. I also want to say that it was really hard for me to get his face off so I can put the mask on so I'd be happy if anyone here could tell me an easier way. When I put on the mask, it falls off quite easily as well when turning the head so that's an issue for me. But anyways, articulation on this figure is really nice for something so small. He has ankle tilts, a waist swivel, bicep swivel, and 360º arm rotation but the wings can get in the way. His leg articulation is pretty nice. Head articulation on my copy is a bit of a bummer because his head always pops off when moving it around. He can't look up that much either. But regardless, I still love this little guy. He just seems full of emotion! Awe, this makes me regret hating him. Hey, who invited you three?! So, you're probably wondering, should I get this? Honestly, I recommend him over the SS01 by so much. He's much more fun and more posable. His transformation to vehicle mode can be a pain and trust me, I can see some people probably freaking the hell out. But again, it's likely just me being a dodo bird. Is he worth $20? Errr, that's probably for you to decide. I honestly think I'd rather get him for around $16.99 like CHUG. But, yeah. Let me know if you have any other questions! I'll try checking in this page whenever I'm free.
