So, I had picked up this Jazz as my first Studio Series figure. He’d been returned once at least, or someone had been caught trying to steal him. He was loose in the box, and was discounted because of it. Nothing missing, so I bought him. ...and turned him into Nightbeat. The vehicle paint scheme is basically a transplanted G1 color scheme. I had wanted to use a darker blue, but none would adhere to the shiny silver or clear plastic Jazz is made of. Shame. As for robot mode, I wanted him to have less colors on the bot parts versus the body, but still did some highlights. The red is also a “painted” sticker to make sure I could get a solid red color. It does look different, but it works. You may also notice the spoiler is mounted differently. That’s because I hacked it off to make sure the paint worked, then used a spare metal peg to make a mounting point for it... to also give Studio Series Nightbeat a melee weapon. And here he is with my Studio Series 22w Whirl. ...again, I wanted to use a darker blue to stand out from Whirl. Oh well!
