I tried popping mine off but I got nervous about breaking off any of the 3 clips holding each smokestack in its peg. I was debating whether to just drip a droplet of glue into the joint and swivel the smokestack until it hardened.

Also, looking into the connection, it looks like a black pin was hammered in which seems to me to permanently drive the smokestacks in.

How did you pop them off exactly?

The plastic clips are separate parts pinned to the smokestacks proper. The pin isn't doing anything to actually hold the stacks onto the body. It's an assembly method they used to use somewhat often on deluxes and voyagers back in the day, but don't any more due to (presumably) budget.

Update: The caps from eBay work okay, it’s not the most secure connection but it definitely makes it much more solid. It’s not ‘tight’ now, but it does hold quite securely. Worth a few $$$ in any case.

If it's okay with you, can I have a pic of how the smokestacks look like when pulled off? Apologies, but I'm very worried about breaking something other than a small negligible crack in the roof in what's otherwise a great figure. I'd like to know what to expect so I don't screw up.

I haven't removed them and don't want to, sorry. I just recognize the assembly style from older toys that used it (that I did pull apart/break).

Have you tried slapping it? That's what I do when my kids pop off at the mouth.

What should I use to glue clear plastic? Tried plastic cement and it didn't work.

Normally I use Plastic Weld aka MEK (methyl-etheyl ketones), which literally melts the plastic back together. However with a layer of cement on it, that probably won't work. I would try five minute epoxy; rough up the mating surfaces first and clamp the part firmly while it sets.

Compared to other recent leaders, yes.

In the last year I've bought the following leader class figures - Velocitron Scourge, LegEvo Skyquake, and Legacy Blitzwing.

I feel like I'm getting more out of ROTB Scourge than most of those tbh.

Got it today, and first thoughts are that it feels heftier than a voyager, but looks and handles like less than a leader. I’m glad I got it $15 off because this definitely doesn’t feel worth the price after the most recent price bump.

Then there’s the elephant in the room - this thing isn’t very accurate at all lol. This is somewhat relieved by the upgrade kit that was recently unveiled but I’m not very taken by the fact that it feels like it needs one given the standard retail. I haven’t experienced any cracks yet and I’ve transformed it a few times, but I’m sure they’ll show up eventually.

Got him with some discount to lessen the sting - but he does look really cool in hand.
I love the chain detailing and the robot mode look.
Shame about the possible cracking of the roof because that transformation is fun! I love how the cab transforms.

Picked this guy up on sale and I was quite surprised, probably my favourite figure from the new movie so far (though I only have SS Bee and Battletrap at the moment). The only thing with mine is the neck is a little loose? Also the way the arms fold up for vehicle mode gave me some issues lining up the shoulder pads with the cab nose at first but I think overall quite happy with him! I really like how the front of the truck turns into the chest too.

I used clear nail polish on the smoke stack pegs and it seems to work as well. It's tighter now that's what he said.

Is anyone worried about the longevity of the figure? I'm just worried about the rubber claw and i feel like I'm pressing it down too much when I'm trying to plug in his gun in vehicle mode.
