Digibashing makes it easy to imagine what it would look like with the characters colors on-screen, and makes it easy for people that having a hard time to grasp and imagine what the figure would look like on release

Sometimes grey protoype doesn't show any surface details, and some neurodivergent people unable to visualize basic colors. Digibashes also helped with what the final approach might look like or what other possible repaints.
Also I digibashes as an exercise for digital painting. I kinda disappointed that a lot of digibashes just show matte color instead of finished glossy metal might looked like so I said meh why not?

Yeah baby! Looks amazing with some proper pics! Only part that looks bad still is the shins. I hope this can get into production soon as usually when there’s a gray prototype it means the figure is still many many months or even years away from actually being in my hands.

goofy translation aside does this mean they ditch the led eye and replace it with an ordinary flipped head gimmick.

 

If not mistaken, there's no LED eye since day 1. The head swapping gimmick was there since the very beginning

Yes they are still there.

 

The designer actually ditched that because the initial designer of TMT were more towards playability and focusing in storage. Hence he favor towards face swapping over LED when TMT show of the full prototype and he did mention it in the old Weibo comment before it was taken down after selling the design off

 

Damn, I hadn't noticed that bfr!! The side skirts are way too small!!! Hopefully they'll fix that!!!
