With all the combiners we've seen in the G1 cartoon in all 4 season, including Headmasters, Victory and Masterforce, which combiner is the strongest and would win the All Combiner battle? (Every Combiner for themselves, no friends)

I say Bruticus is the strongest and would easily win

My money is on Predaking, but maybe that's because I can't help but think of him in terms of the toy scale. Or this image.

In the cartoon, the newest toys always beat up the older toys to make you want to buy them.

Therefore, whichever combiner debuted last in the cartoons would be the strongest :p

I'd go with Predaking. Just from his stats, his bio, his size; he just seems like a cut above all the others, a single, unified force the other combiners just couldn't stand against.

All though it might just come down to which is smart enough to pull a Starscream.

Liokaiser effortlessly beat down Star Saber and God Ginrai

    Two autobot commanders

    At the same time

    No other combiner comes close

Are we talking pure brute strength only?

Because as I understand it Piranhaking works out at the strongest combiner of all, something to do with the massive undersea pressures he has to deal with.

Brute strength? I thought that was Devastator, but he wouldn't win in a fight. Wasn't Abominus the one that was limited to a timer because he would otherwise continue destroying everything in his path? Whichever one that was is the one I would pick.

If talking US continuity, I'd say Devastator - not only were the Constructicons construction vehicles/robots, but Devastator was made up of six of them - not five like many others.

As for Japanese continuity, I have no clue.

If we're going crazy territory then Transformers Energon Omega Prime (Optimus Prime/Omega Supreme) merged, grew the size of a planet and then wrestled with Unicron.

    Surely beating all other combiners?

My vote would be Piranacon, single minded Hunter.

Are we count characters like that?
Ether way he got beat by Liokaiser a few times didn't he?

I agree with you that's fairly bad ass. But can't (and shouldn't) every combiner be able to any non-combine bot, under normal circumstances? Other wise what's the point, eh?
Hmmm...after saying that I now remember Galvatron shooting Computron in the face when computron was being over confident. >>

Menasor one shot K.O.ed and defeated Bruticus when he first showed up. http://tfwiki.net/wiki/Starscream's_Brigade Thank for showing up with no opinion and the wrong info.

I don't know....If we're leaving the G1 lines behind and going crazy wouldn't Nexus Prime http://tfwiki.net/wiki/Nexus_Prime take that easy? He's one of the first 13.

I always dislike do this kind of thinking it always makes stories and characters much less impressive when you add DBZ power levels to everything. There's much more to character than there number rankings.
I like to think each combiner was strongest in there own way. Bruticus has firepower, Defensor can project forcefeilds, Computron smart, and Superion being the only gesalt that can fly, so on...

But what you want is; Who'd be the winning at the end of a even ground tournament....I think I'll Piranacon would be, He's able to switch up his weapons between members and has the same presence of mind as Predaking and almost at vicious.

Though the adverage (excluding rank) toy bios:
    6.7 Bruticus
    7.5 Defensor
    6.6 Menasor
    7.6 Superion
    6.4 Abominus
    7.8 Computron
    7.3 Piranacon
    6.3 Devastator
    7.5 Predaking
    7.1 Raiden
    6.8 Monstructor
    ? Road Caesar
    9.4 Liokaiser
    8.5 Landcross

Clearly give the winner goes to LioKaiser, and puts everyones' beloved Devastator to shame....ah well I'm sure he's not the bottom of the list I think the the three man gestalt Road Caesar would be there.

Piranacon ... each member having the ability to become either a limb for, OR a gun for their combined form.

was that win based on strength/powers or just better skill as a fighter?

I see no reason to believe that the combined member count would factor into a debate on this topic.
Gestalts do not always benefit from the sum of all their parts.

I wouldn't say his info was exactly wrong.
Menasor and Bruticus were both new toys only debuting a short while after each other.
Also, the one punch ko wasn't exactly fare.
Even before they formed Bruticus, the Combaticons had been in a pitched fight with a sizable detachment of the decepticon army that doubled [if not more] their number. And while we only saw a short fight, it must have gone on longer then we saw. ...and also must have continued for a while after they combined.

Menasour took on a opponent that must have been low on energy, and must have had some damage from a long fight.
