Hi Strongarm is a character that I love since he first appeared. However, I wished I had a Generations version of her, and a couple of years ago I thought it would never happen, so I decided to make it myself. I bought an additional Strongarm Rid, and then did a long reengineering job. It was not easy, since it had to keep the same alternate mode; To be honest, most of the time this project was torture, since with every step I took, some part didn't fit for distances, the new joints were very long, thick or short, or any other problem happened. The first thing I did was modify the doors; I cut the contour of the doors alternately and put a double joint to move them independently. In this way, they can be placed on the back in robot mode and the rest remain as the characteristic spoilers. The second step was to completely change the engineering of the legs. I cut off the outer rim, pulled out the feet and wheels, and put two triple joints on each leg, one for the foot and the other for the wheel, which changes position in robot mode. This part was especially difficult and I had so many problems. The third step was to change the engineering of the torso. I removed the internal bar, and put a piece with double articulation, to be able to separate the shoulders more in robot mode; I also did a little twist on the sides of the torso so that the parts look good when transforming. The fourth step was to make her abdomen a little longer; for this I removed the swivel joint from the waist; I replaced it with a longer piece - just a couple of millimeters, really - and put in a piece to fill in the gap. The fifth step was to change the plates that form the front part in the alternate mode, since it seemed to me that the forearms were very thick; I removed the original joint and put in a double joint. The way it is in robot mode is not ideal, but in such a small space I could not do something more complex. I made paint details in light blue, blue, dark gray and black colors. The alternate mode is a little different from the original mold since the legs go in the opposite direction; This was necessary because being longer due to the modification of the waist, the legs were an obstacle to the internal articulation of the doors. I'm really very pleased with this custom, it's a Generations version of the character, and it's taller and heavier than its Rid counterpart. It also has very good articulation. I have included comparisons with Arcee Prime, Overload Rid and Springer Generations on my blog. You can also see a transformation sequence and some more details there. Nice job there From whom are her rear tires? And I saw your Deployer Overload in the gallery. Does he still transform and is his tank mode stable?
Thank you so much Overload have articulations and still transform, you can see post here: Heavy/Scratch: - Overload full articulated About the tires, honestly i dont know; i just take two from my wheel box.
