I hate capcom so much. Wonder what DLC they have planed for UMVC3 ...
Still, it's a better deal than what Aksys asked for when it came to BB color packs.

 

I want the stages from the 1st 2 games as well as the music.

 

too bad. you get to pay for colors that have been available on disc for every other sfIII release up until now.

oh wait, if your opponent doesn't have the dlc then they can't see them anyway  

 

I'm still curious if 3S will be a big tourney game again. I hope so.

 

This DLC appears to be Capcom's Horse Armor.
You pay to open up the color pallete and watch matches?

I broke someone's spirit last night, I could see it happen.

I played against a solid Q player, not spectacular, but knowledgeable in the basics with enough gimmick to make it tough.

Close matches at first against my Necro until I figured some stuff out, then it was rush down brutality. I switched to Alex and the mixup combined with Q's height actually got the dude curb stomped. (Hard fight for Q to be sure)

He switches to Remy and it goes down to the wire, tough fight but he's relying on me to make flash-kickable mistakes (I don't). Alex has more life, I grind it out.

I end up picking Chun when he picks Q. First fight is rough for him. I think he's surprised at Chun's priority, but he knows enough to not taunt when I have meter. He stops playing the second round. Just...quits.

Bummer too, because I think he was probably a legit player. Just needed more matches in. I could feel the frustration in his game though because I could predict his responses based upon my previous mix-up.

Maybe he quit because you picked Chun? Some people really hate her in 3S(and Yun).

 

CP I might hit u up for some games this weekend if you're around. I'd rather spend $15 on another copy of a good game then their shit dlc. I might lose a lot from not playing this in forever, but I wont quit  

Smasher I'll add you up too. Haven't been on either system at all this week...wife usually commandeers the ps3 for netflix, and I've just been playing other shit then 360 games.

But yeah I definitely want to play this game with some people on here and get back in the swing of things a bit.

 

For Xbox, there is a dedicated channel.

I think I'll be around Sunday night, but I'm in the middle of packing for a move and...I'm just unreliable right now.

 

I played some good matches last night with Spencimus and then later Cagliostro.
A really weird thing happened.
I played a match where Spencer was Ken and I was Alex.
After he beat me the game stayed on the screen where it shows you your stats.
It didn’t exactly freeze because I could navigate that screen I just couldn’t advance.
Then the game immediately dumped us in a rematch but I was Ken and Spencimus was Alex.
Further, the colors were all screwed up.
Ken was colored like Ronald McDonald and Alex was a 7 foot tall smurf.

After that another weird thing happened.
I played as Hugo and won several matches!  
HAMMER MOUNTAIN!

 

There's also several ODD things that can happen with the ggpo netcode. Me and a buddy that lives about 2 towns away were playing online last night. He jumps in with no life and I put out a standing mk with yun to attempt a quick anti-air and kill him. Game makes hit noise, says "KO" but he actually registers a parry visually and the match continues. We saw this happen a few more times through the night where the game would either declare a match over, but continue, or make hit sound effects when parrys were actually occurring.

It's not anything major, just may throw your game off slightly if you are paying attention to the sound as well as the visuals.
