I wish they had kept the June 2 date myself. At least then I'd know WHEN to go out looking for some of these things, knowing they'd be on shelves.

Now I'm going to be thinking about going out frickin' tomorrow when I need to be focused on work.

 

Well I have a 5 day weekend myself for my birthday. Hopefully I can find a Leader Class Optimus Prime!

 

I for one am glad they killed the street date, but I do realise a lot of people aren't. The way I see it this keeps the scalpers from going in a buying up every single Prime, Megatron, and Starscream the second stores open their doors. We may have to work a little harder, but so will the scalpers.

 

Now Im starting to see why people are complaining about these figures. Its gonna be no different than a few weeks ago with a few reports of the figures being found. This really blows. I wanted to be able to walk into my TRU without being dissapointed with a shelf full of Classics and Cybertron for the 3rd time. I just hope that all stores do this and release the figures now, not dotted throught the US.

 

I'm sure they'll be the standard basic price of $6.99. However, I'd bet we see a price war between Wal-mart and Target on all Transformer products sometime this summer, which might drop the prices by 50 cents or a dollar, but that's just speculative.

 

I actually liked having the official street date - it gave me an "event" to look forward to. So with this news, all I know is that on June 2nd, they BETTER be on the shelves - I don't want to have to wait until July or August for retailers to "wait for Cybertron and Classics to be completely gone" before they "feel like" putting them out.

Although that would be like, really really stupid with it being tied into a MAJOR MOTION PICTURE EVENT and all.

I'll believe it when I see reports of them showing up en masse across the US.

 

Come on now...we live in the North East. We won't see any movie toys until June 12th (even w/the busted release date). And you can forget about the store exclusives...it will be August before one shows up.

 

Looks like the HTS still has the June 2nd date set for the first day you can order the Movie Toys from them. Not sure if that really matter though.

The nice, little old lady in the toy department of my Walmart told me today the the movie toys I was looking for last week would be on the shelves tomorrow. Hopefully they won't just be the preview figures they took off of the shelf last week.

 

So I call my local Target and ask them if they have the figures and tell them the DCPIs and they will bring them out?? Now Im a noob when it comes to this but what exactly are DCPIs?? And can you give me a list of the DCPIs for the movie figures??

I can wait until June 2. I just got a car repair bill. I did kind of want to see a huge TF display though, like SM3 currently has at TRU.

 

Megatron & Starscream aren't gonna be out for June 2nd. They're not part of wave 1.

 

But you'll need a car to travel to buy all the Transformers goodies, so it's a logical progression.

Most known DPCI numbers are in ams's wonderful thread here.

They'll be the numbers that look like this: 087-06-0951 (This is the Movie Deluxe DPCI, which does include the preview toys so even if they have some they might only be the protoforms.)
