Speaking of the Easter Bunny. What do eggs have to do with Bunnies? Bunnies don't lay eggs...............puzzled.
Can't you just google it? I did and I found the answer. I would explain it, but because of the rules it is off limits.
Yea, I can google it. But it's more fun to discuss it. Wasn't really looking for an answer anyway. Just thought it was amusing.
One that never made sense to me: "You want to have your cake and eat it too!" Well duh, you can't eat cake you don't have, and having it is useless unless you're going to eat it.
I think that just means you can't have it both ways. Or when your parents used to ask you which would you rather have. We always wanted to say both, but it never works out that way.
"Spitters are quitters" never made sense to me. From MY perspective the job's done.
Never heard that one before. Unless it's like the saying, "doing a job half-asked".
I get that, but the saying itself doesn't make sense. A more accurate version would be 'You want your cake, and ice cream too!" or something to that effect.
A person cannot possess cake, consume it, and then continue to possess it, as it can only be eaten once. It is impossible to continue to have your cake after you have eaten it. It has ceased to be cake, acted upon by the numerous processes of the digestive system.
Okay guy's. I went for Chinese dinner tonight, and after having my Beef Lomein and fried rice meal, I opened up my fortune cookie. It was the strangest fortune I've ever read in a long time and I have no idea what this one means. Perhaps somebody here has a clue? Here it goes:
"Well begun is half done."
Well, let's put it this way: the other half is a good finish.
Well, since knowing is half the battle, and beginning well is half done, one can postulate that if you know what you're doing and begin well, that you're done the battle and can go do something else.
But seriously? What it means is that starting things is usually the hardest part, and if you can start something and have it go well, then you've effectively made it past the hardest part, and the rest should hopefully go smoothly.
Quit while your ahead. Why would you want to do that?
OMG that always lol got under my skin!! I think that it makes NO sense what-so-ever! Why would I have a cake I couldn't eat? That is the whole point of having a cake!! LOL
Smile for the camera. Come and join your family. Any and all proverbs.
I take things literally, and I only do things I see the need for.
It leads to confrontation.
Hasbrotoyshop has one...good discount codes, the figs you want than this " out of stock"
Breaking the mold
why reinvent the wheel
to stop "waffling" about something
That ones easy. It means to be on the safe side and not go overboard. Quit while it's good.
Up until chemical engineers got on to a way to produce artificial replacements human piss, and dog shit were the main ingredients in leather making. The Roman empire had a tax on piss selling.
EDIT: And the leather makers were usually the poorer members of a community, hence piss poor.
