Ok So about 2 weeks back I was eagerly waiting for free Sideburn figure to ship in the mail.

I waited and waited and waited. Nothing came.

So I checked my address again on the club website, all seemed to be in order. I had the correct address in the system. So I waited a bit more. I then emailed Funpub to find out where my sideburn had ended up and low and behold it had dissapeared. They didnt have it. They had shipped it to my old address. I visited the old address and they didnt have it either. I have yet to check the post office near my old address so I dont know if its there but I have no idea how to get ahold of my Sideburn figure now at the moment. :/ Anyone have any ideas?

I just want my free figure and this seems like a big hassle to get it.

Check the post office, and then mail them again. If you'd got your address updated in good time there's no reason why it should have gone to your old address - work with them and I'm sure something can be sorted out.

 

I update all of my addresses just after I moved back in february. And Im about to head out and check the post office. So we'll see how it goes after that. :/ They even sent my club magazine to my old address.

 

I just had this happen to me as well. I moved back in the early spring, and updated all my information in the system in April, lots of time ahead. And double checked everything.

And yet they still sent my last magazine and Sideburn to my old address. And when I contacted them on Sept 1st they quoted me back my old address for some reason.

Long story short, after a week of frustrating arguing with them they have finally consented to re-send it to me when it arrives back to them. And I ended up having to contact a second CSR in this whole mess.

Checking the post office didn't help since, they told me return to sender items are sent back right away. And the real kick was that the people who now live at my old address had the box, and sent it back. And called me afterward to tell me.. figure that one out.

Anyway, good luck. Because from what I've been able to find out, your dealings with the club will be hard or easy. And it seems to entirely depend on who you get as a CSR when you contact them.

 

They did the same to me last year. Sent Dion to my old address despite me calling and giving them the new one as soon as I moved ( which was before they shipped them out ). In case you're wondering, I still don't have my Dion. Good luck getting your Sideburn.

 

What are the chances that the people at your old address opted to keep whatever mail was addressed to you and are just playing dumb?

 

All packages were stopped at the actual housing office of my old apartment. They never reached the particular apartment unless we came to pick it up. And I went to the post office and they said they wouldnt have had it because they would have automatically sent it back. I guess im waiting for the club to get it back? I have no clue. :/

And all these stories of people never getting their figs is scary. :/

 

Well, that's good to know (the first parts, that is). I didn't mean to put any thoughts in your head, but I always consider all of the possibilities when dealing with this sort of thing.

 

with an international membership cost and that being the only real bonus to joining (not going to botcon), i think i might get a friend to get next years figures for me instead of risking moving and them never updating my new address, this place is bad enough with mail not getting to people (blesser went to another building on my street, never to be seen again)

 

Sounds exactly what happened with my Heat Wave.
Never got that in the end and gave up eventually (considering what followed ...)

I havn't gotten mine either (not yet anyway) but I live in Sweden so I expect it take a bazillion days, but I am getting worried.
