I tend to think that all the official MP tapes are so well done that, other than for the scale, maybe, I don't understand why a lot of folks gush so much about MMC's tapes. Oh Well, to each is own.

Great work on that Ultimate Doom clip and, as always, keep up the good work.

    Cheers!

Thanks dude. Yeah I bought MMC's Ravage, impressed by the size and articulation, but TBH went off him pretty quick and now prefer the original. I wouldn't say no to upscaled KOs of TT's tapes with some added articulation though
    Cheers!

Soundwave MP-13 and his minions are and always will be amazing, just like your work, OTL.

    Ha ha, thanks bud!

As a little bonus, some more Soundwave fun, here's me spicing up what was just a static shot on his chest...

Your gif makes me want to play with Soundwave again (along with his tapes). Thanks for making this, it really does bring out how great MP Soundwave really is.

    Amazing as always, Mr. Timelord.

I agree with you on all but one of the Masterpiece cassettes and that's Ravage.
I just don't consider him good enough to be called a masterpiece when it can't open and close it's mouth. It's a shame because it's great the way they integrated his hip rockets into the transformation.

One of the things I love about him is his sheer bling! Chrome, gold, silver... Just gorgeous.
True but for the scale they were working with they did ok. Although I bet with the recent higher parts count he could be even better.

I wonder if anyone else has spotted the reflection of my arm in one of the frames as Soundwave's chest opens! A deliberate mistake, obviously. I'll probably try to disguise that when I edit the full scene :confused2

Honestly, I didn't see it when I first looked at it on my phone. But on my computer it actually does look like it is supposed to flash a lighter color while opening (like it is reflecting the ground).

I say leave it. Heck, even the best movies always have some sort of gaffe issue.

I concur, it looks like a reflection of something off-camera in the scene rather than a mistake. It sells the glassy reflectiveness of his chest.

I think it's only the colour that made me notice it myself after posting. Will be easy enough to desaturate that bit so it looks more like a flash of reflected light...

Nice animation... It does illustrate why I often prefer to cheat transformations though: when you literally film a transformation like that exactly as it happens for real you end up with a bit of a messy explosion (and having the character stumble in a half-circle because otherwise he'd end up facing the wrong way). MP-10 was similar, and I suspect MP-44 will be even worse!

Speaking of cheating... This sequence was a bitch!

    Great work on those.
Sixshot was the last TF I got as a kid and the one I held onto the longest.
Your GIFs are really awesome and I cannot wait to see the full clip.
    Cheers mate!

Yeah. My attempt with the two stunticons from M3 required them to do a handstand flip to land feet first in car mode. That was a bit frustrating. :lol
