Gotcha, I figured some footage and cycles were sampled from previous work. Man, this looks like 6 mos to a years worth of work doing it on the side of a day job. I'm impressed by not only your skill but your dedication to the craft. Cheers bro.

 

Yeah I dunno if that's just because I Gif'd it at a faster speed or because the interlacing is too pronounced on the old one, but it does seem to flow better!

Sometimes I know which scenes I'm going to want to turn into vids later and will make gifs with that in mind, but overall it's generally a favourite moment or sequence that kicks things off.

Another thing I've changed on the new Shockwave shot is him having two hands like he does in the toon scene, rather than his usual gun arm. Can't remember why I didn't do that before, maybe Quakewave just didn't come with a left hand or maybe I was trying to correct a perceived animation error. Either way, TT giving him the optional hands makes it feel less like a mistake and more like a choice by the character. Maybe Shockwave just needed something to do while he was on guard duty for 4 million years, and working on a gun arm upgrade helped the long dark nights fly by...

Yep I think even if KFC made a set in the colour of MP-29+'s hands I wouldn't bother. This colour suits him and is pretty toon accurate.

There's been talk in the news (here in the UK, not sure about everywhere else) about cracking down on copyrighted material on YouTube etc. It seems at least memes and gifs are safe, as they come under parody, so at least that area appears ok. Whether it might affect my videos remains to be seen, though it's probably too early to worry yet...

 

Well let's hope it doesn't affect your videos at all. I hadn't heard anything here in the States.

 

That would suck if the copyright legal talk hits stuff like your work, when it should be aiming at clearly copyright infringement. But we all know how well "good intentions" work out in the legal realm.

 

@OptimusTimelord Just want to wish you well on your task of doing the first episode. I just went through the episode today for my project of verifying deleted scenes. The final scene count is likely somewhere close to 600, when other episodes with plenty of cuts didn't go as far as 450.

Yeah I think it's an EU thing, it's meant to ensure proper revenue to the originators, so if it generates good £$£ it might spread across the pond!

I'm sure it's just meant to target free sharing of music/movie/tv content, but I can see how my stuff could get caught up in that. On the plus side, my YouTube vids already have their holder rights claimed by Hasbro (which means I don't see any money from them - in fact Hasbro could be monetizing them for all I know). I don't mind that, if it allows me to do what I do, but it's why I started doing Patreon.

Thanks! I am going to try and include deleted scenes in it. It's a rather disjointed project because the goal posts keep shifting. There are scenes I've worked on with Prime and Bumblebee which will never see the light of day now that those figures are being replaced, and likewise I've reshot some Quakewave/Apollyon stuff. But I keep adding the odd shot to the bank hoping one day it will all come together.
