Whoever made that did a great job, but that article title makes me cringe. It has nothing to do with the movies and it's a five minute long stop motion so why bring Bay into it? "More fun than Michael Bay's"? Give me a break
This. I mean it's a very well-made stop-motion (I know those things are tough to make), but it still just amounts to just a bunch of robots running around shooting and punching each other. You can't call this "more fun than Bay's", unless you're simply talking about the characters looking more traditional/G1. If there's one thing done right in the movies (and I think there's much more than that), it's the action.
Which is personally alright with me. However whenever it resorts to personal attacks against the audience and how we belong in concentration camps (not making this one up) then that's when I take offense to it.
*Hates Michael Bay for making a film with no story and only special effects despite there being a story being told* *Calls a 5-ish minute video that literally is just fighting and special effects superior to Bay* Such logic. Much sense. wow. I've seen MUCH better anyways
Because it's cool to hate on the Transformers films! Honestly, I thought the Stop Motion was okay. Stop Motion transformations always seem weird, like they're just transforming the toy instead of making it look like the character's transforiming, I dunno. Must've taken FOREVER to make. Props for using Maketoys Giant instead of Hercules. I always liked the look of Giant more.
Whose willing to place bets that the author didn't even watch the whole video through. This video, while well done for what it is, is literally just Optimus fighting Devastator. The hyperbole from that article is almost jarring.
That guy's stop motions are crazy. I especially love his multiple choice videos, so YOU can decide who wins! Like he makes the transformations look like they're transforming. And that's really old that one, too. I dunno if he's done recent TF stuff.
