Well, at least all the little bits that cause annoyance on the original Megatron figure base are not carried over to this guy.

 

I don't know but I don't really see a vehicle mode looking at Shockwave's alt mode. It looks like a fan mode at best.
It somehow doesn't make sense to me.

 

It sort of is, considering he was never designed with an alt-mode.

 

But the original DotM Voyager's alt mode is pretty good (in my opinion at least). The robot mode's articulation and foot design are a bit lacking but otherwise I like this figure a lot. Its alt mode with the new SS's robot mode would be perfect.

 

Well that defientey looks world better, but the fgure still isn't great. It looks pretty good though. I love the shoulders.

This looks amazing. As it turns out, I really like the idea of him reusing RotF Megatron parts and engineering, because it makes a certain kind of in-universe sense. They both transform into big-gun tank-like things whose robot mode and alt mode are differently largely in the details (size/type of gun, detailing on body). So they should transform pretty similarly, with the legs becoming the method of vehicle-mode movement and the body transforming around, with a gun somewhere and the head in the front protected by a brush guard.

I\'d liken it to a real world tank.A US M1A2 isn\'t the same tank as a German Leopard 2, but aspects of them make them cousins and they follow similar rules and lines.

But it\'s also a friendly reminder there are lots of Decepticons in the Bayverse who could only charitably be called \"Transformers\".

 

Soooo... I'm totally getting a Beast Wars Rampage vibe from this. Jus sayin...

EDIT (for those with little-to-no powers of deduction) - I'm speaking, of course, about Shockwave.

 

Are there any new images of Scavenger?

 

Shockwave is very impressive.

Mixmaster is not that good like his RotF non-combiner version, but because this one is able to combine I will accept it.

 

Shockwave is another win. Studio Series has been too awesome! I’d completely lost interest in the movie aesthetics, and SS somehow got me back into collecting movie figures; that’s how awesome SS has been!

I think Shockwave’s alt mode looks badass as a stationary cannon type. It looks like that’s what he’d transform into on Cybertron.

Mix Master is one of my favorite ROTF figures. I can’t wait for the SS version, although highly unlikely he won’t have his cannon mode.

How could a Leader re-use parts from a Voyager?
