He didn't have an alt mode in the movie. He just kind of rose out of the Driller's head.
Now i want burger king.
Shockwave never transformed in the film, never even had any concept art, so Hasbro made up a tank mode for his toys.
If you're a Studio Series fan, you'd be a fool not to pick up Shockwave! He looks incredible!
I'm not a Studio Series fan, but a lifelong Shockwave fan. I've had this figure pre-ordered from day one.
I also really like the design, and even though the character isn't a classic representation, it's still a worthy addition to the Shockwave collection.
You mean Demolisher? (never understood the decision to make the same robot have two different names and be two separate characters) Sure, but even though the alt-mode looked real nice, you have to remember that the robot looked like this:
Those arms were terrible, and the thing could hardly stand.
A Cybertronian dump on wheels
$50-ish for those tiny Brains and Wherlie figures? Yeah worth it.
Its got PrEmIuM paint, a 25 cent brains and wheelie And a 25 cent parachuting army man. Its totally worth at least an extra $50
He looks like he could straight stomp Movie Megatron....I guess that\'s not saying much. But he looks very final Boss-ish
One more question, is this guy going a review??
the pose they had him in looked different so yeah
I can't help feel rather ashamed that I do really like the look of this guy, less in a way that I like 'Transformers' these days, and more in the way I still like Giger esque scifi aesthetics, like Warframe.
His alt-mode is a utter joke though.
Shockwave looks so dam good u can't tell it's a retool...
Judge: anything else?
Tekashi69: studio series shockwave is actually a studio series rotf megatron retool
NOTHING! But he did so with honor!!! - Jetfire.
Looks a bit smaller than I remember RotF Megatron
Looks like he is as big as the original voyager figure only with a better color scheme and higher price tag.
PrEmIuM paint and a parachute army man. Hellz yeah
Actually, that toy is mistransformed. This is possibly the most mistransformed toy ever. The instructions show the proper transformation, but the angle is weird and vague, so most people just match the stock photo. Transformed correctly, he should look like the below picture. This is obviously a custom, but this is the correct stance. I always thought it was a pretty good-looking toy, if you can get it right (basically just rotate the head and arms upwards, and swing the wheel joints into position).
I don't disagree about the arms though, I would have preferred some finger articulation.
That's because it's the same fight scene as Optimus vs Sentinel Prime, but for some reason with Shockwave instead of Sentinel. Strange that they did this just for a commercial...
This figure is all kinds of awesome! It might just end up taking Grimlock’s place as my new favorite Studio Series figure!’
