It's clear that Stinger, as a copy of Bumblebee, is being based on Wasp from ANIMATED. It'd be nice if they'd have some homage to Wasp (but not BW Waspinator, he was sweet but ineffectual). Have him display insectile qualities like clicking and hopefully him talking in a buzzy voice - something in terms of personality. In action, he is definitely going to be awesome.
We'll see. Its completely possible he'll be an even more mute clone of Bee. An attack dog, to Bee's guard dog.
I'm surprised there hasn't been more speculation about this character by now. And no, it's not clear this copy of BB is going to be like Wasp. That sounds more like wishful thinking. If it proves true yay, but I'm not seeing how, from any of the scant movie trailer footage we've seen, that we've been given definitive evidence of how this character will be portrayed.
More likely people will confuse him with Bumblebee since they look the same. Seriously, since a theme in the film is paranoia against Transformers and not being able to tell the difference between Autobots and Decepticons this may well work out that way.
Being compared to Bee all the time drives him loco, next thing, he's signing up on "Team Lock." I can see that.
