Well, contrary to Grapple, Perceptor actually is a key character, having played an important part in multiple episodes. So I don't doubt X-transbots, Ocular Max, or even Fanstoys mighg come around to doing another MP of him.
We'll just have to be patient.

Yeah, but FT have a habit of getting really pissy with anyone threatening to KO their stuff and are not above strong-arming retailers to prevent them stocking certain products... allegedly.;)

My guess is that FansToys already have a 2.0 of Perceptor in their vault but have enough stuff in the pipeline so they haven't bothered to announce it. And the other 3P's probably suspect this and know what will happen if they announce their own, so everyone is kind of tip-toeing around the subject and nothings gonna happen for a while.

I was just thinking about this a few days ago. Only 1 mp Perceptor. We really need a new one. Surprised no other company has jumped on it yet.

I’m still hoping @ibot announces one from either XTB or KFC. The demand is there. Essential character for Prime’s death scene...should be more than one (rather sub-par) option available!

Multiple people dropping $300 + on Perceptor might tell you otherwise about it's demand

You know you've arrived when rumors about lost or broken molds start circulating.

Or the fact that this issue gets brought up pretty often.

From the retail viewpoint, wish lists on forums and scattered high-dollar auctions on eBay don't always correlate to a reissue that actually sells. There are at least a dozen cases of "in-demand" reissues languishing in my garage because the demand wouldn't support retail prices.

It's far less than other FT figures that folks want reissued like the Insecticons, Lupus, and possibly even Phoenix. And most of the Tesla talk involves a v2 or alternative to it from another 3P, not much of the demand is for a straight reissue of the original. So it's fair to say Tesla v1 is not in HIGH demand.

This isn't about V1 Tesla though. In general, people are looking for another MP Perceptor, FT or otherwise.

My comment that you and the other guy quoted was about Tesla v1. I'm not sure how this could be read as anything other than talking about Tesla v1: "It's not a very fun figure, it's not in high demand, and it's quite a dated design now." And it was in response to someone expressing surprise that Tesla v1 hadn't been KO'd. And Pezley was talking about someone spending 300 dollars on Tesla v1.

I believe @pezley was referring to the idea that if people were willing to pay $300 for an MP Perceptor (FT happens to be the only option, again OP is pointing this out), then people may be underestimating his worth as a character. I quoted his post, clarifying that people asking about an alternative Perceptor is pretty common.

I'm not up for the internet fight, so think what you want tho.

I've always wanted a company similar to Open and Play to toss us a decent MP Perceptor. Most people agree that any MP Perceptor that improves on Tesla's design would be easy money and scooped up pretty quickly. So in my opinion, he'd be in high demand.

And give us a decent face sculpt with this alternative face:

No one can really say what the 'demand' is but people spending $250-300 on opened/used Tesla's is an indicator there is demand. People wouldn't spend that kind of cash if there wasn't and it wasn't desired. I'm definitely going to dig up the box for mine and sell it now that I see the prices lol.

@Red2 I'd love to see an alternative to Tesla v1. There is definitely demand for that. Just try to follow the flow of the conversation better, please, is all that is asked if you're quoting posts from within a context. Thanks.
