    'ello.

Quick question: Am I right in thinking that fanstoys Tesla is still the only masterpiece scaled version of Perceptor? Because if it is... Well, that's unfortunate. That bugger is rarer than budgie's teeth.

yes, it's the only one currently made intended for MP scale.

Yeah. Tesla's all we got. However, if you're pinched for options, PX's Perceptor is about carbot sized and looks fairly decent. Perceptor's size was all over the place between the G1 cartoon(s) so he makes a quasi-decent stand in while we wait for someone else to do it.

Don't know when, but I would think eventually someone else will do the character or FT will do a reissue. I wouldn't cave and pay stupid prices for a secondhand copy, though.

I dunno if FT will do a reissue. Tesla got panned pretty hard. As a result, I bet we see a Tesla 2.0 if anything.

Maybe, but there's still seemingly a market for him and it would be cheap to do a reissue. Who doesn't like easy money?

True enough, although I guess the question is whether or not there's enough remaining demand for the thing to make a second run worth it? Only FT knows for sure.

Hmmm, not overly fond of that PX version. Looks like I'll just have to wait and see. Certainly not paying after sales prices for a Tesla.

I BELIEVE it's been reported that the molds for Tesla were lost/damaged so no reissue option even if they were so inclined.....

i heard the same. with spindrift 2.0 announced, though, they opened the door to revisit any previous release.

OP, there are really zero mp preceptors. I will always keep my FT one but I don't think it says MP.

Guess that's good news for those hoping it would get a modernized revision rather than a straight reissue :)

This is obviously FT's Achilles heel, but no one seems to be taking advantage of it.

I think it's arguable that Rogue was their worst mistake due to the overall popularity of the figure. As great as she looks, MMC's OX line is absolutely thrashing it in the Arcee arena. Azalea's gotten far more acclaim and is doing brisk numbers in each of her repaints as far as I can tell.

While I agree that Perceptor is a weak link in FT's chain, Perceptor's never been really one of those big name bots. FT kinda cacked it with Rouge's wonky transformation and lack of waist swivel which was arguably a far more visible fault than the general issues with Tesla.

If anything, I think if MMC and similar companies keep pecking at FT's heels when they quasi-flub a big name character the "wait and see" group is going to get larger whenever FT releases a figure. As it is, an OX Perceptor would probably get a lot of attention.

A reissue by FT would be nice with a fixed face. Surprised otther 3rd parties haven't tried it out yet. It is such low hanging fruit.

It's not a very fun figure, it's not in high demand, and it's quite a dated design now. It's not that shocking, tbh.
