So I only recently got into TF about 3 or 4 months ago and for this years upcoming Christmas, I kinda want to try out the IDW Transformer Comics. Any suggestions on which comic story I should try first and where I can buy it?

Some of the Spotlight issues are good as standalone stories like Optimus, Shockwave, Ultra Magnus, Wheelie and Sixshot. You can pick up free copies of Spotlight Shockwave and All Hail Megatron #1 on comixology to see what you'll like, that's how I started off.

Last Stand of the Wreckers is one hell of a heavy tale but a lot of us here would recommend it, Amazon might have it, if not it's on comixology or other digital book stores.

If you want to read all of the current comics in an intended order, start with Infiltration and Stormbringer and work your way up from there to the Spotlights, Escalation, Devastation, Revelation etc. If you want to skip to the More Than Meets the Eye comics, all you need to read before would be Last Stand of the Wreckers, Chaos Theory and The Death of Optimus Prime.

Also the Marvel comics are pretty great, volume 1 has the first 12 or so issues so it's a great start into that series. I never read any of the comics based on the Michael Bay films, except for Foundation I really enjoyed that one a lot as far as a Dark of the Moon prequel goes.
