Okay, he was not as good in g1, but in everything else(except Energon) he was WAY better than Soundwave.

 

Soundwave ultimately does right for the decepticon cause, so him.

Starscream is an evil bitch who is decepticon by how he acts, but he would damn the rest of them for himself.

So SoundWave takes this one.

Even Cybertron when he gets the power or fight Primus? All he cares about is how much power he has.

Is it all Starscream’s? No. However even G1 and many where it is debatable he starts to lose points when you realize how much of a tactical disadvantage his vanity is, and how it would destabilize the Cons, which again weakens them.

 

Sorry slime, but your adoration is misplaced.

Starscream is only good in Armada, but that's only because Soundwave wasn't there. They also made him genuinely more likeable and interesting.

Other than that, Soundwave sweeps. Cooler designs across the board, more drip, WAYYYY less annoying personality and voice, gets the job done, and is the ideal Decepticon, just look at him in the later years of IDW and the current run of Skybound(the faction symbol is LITERALLY his face).

My question for you is, why do you like Starscream? Cuz I've never understood the appeal, especially over Soundwave.

 

Armada: was a good guy

Animated: was a pitiful failure. How could you not love him?

Idw: almost had a character arc, and led Cybertron not too horribly.

Starscream looks awsome, and Starscream was freaking IMMORTAL. and he was insanely powerful in Cybertron.

 

Oh and those are great, Screamer is my favorite in Armada.

Thing is we are looking over 40 years and Screamers overall additions to the cause vs that of SoundWave.

Even if it’s only due to the amount of wasted energy or failed plots to kill Megs from his more dumb versions? He gets pulled down heavily on average?

Soundwave? His face is the decepticon logo.

Most fictions he is the most loyal to Megatron and the cause.

In Cyberverse he leads the Decepticons and Autobots to peace and the war finally ending.

In IDW his relationship with Ravage and the kids is legit heart warming.

….and he has so many more.

Are all Screamers bad leaders? Nah.

Can Screamer stand up with the literal face of the faction? Sorry, but he can’t.

 

Starscream is too good for Megatron and the decepticons.

 

In a couple of fictions? Maybe.

However if he is too good for the Cons? Then he isn’t a good Con.

The cause comes before any one bot.

 

Even the space Nazi cause, I guess.

 

Looks more awesome than SOUNDWAVE??? My brother in Primus, he's not even the coolest looking Seeker even among his trio. Both of his squad have more drip than him.

What's the point of being immortal if all you do is fail? That's why G1 and Animated Starscream suck especially. They're pathetic losers.

No matter how much power Cybertron Starscream had, Soundwave still cleared by being hilarious.

I can totally get that as a life long Prowl fan, it was certainly a unique take, and one that had plenty of issues.

I did find it interesting even if it would have felt better as any character not Prowl lol.

 

As pumswave's cheat is a box. Meanwhile, Starscream looks like an actual soldier, and he turns into an f-15, not a freaking cassette player.

Oh dang then for me I can’t really say because there are far to many variant.

Like Cybertron DJ SoundWave? I don’t care if Screamer became a god, he wasn’t the chad that Wave was.

Armada though? The moment Screamer went all in and fired at Unicron? I actually cried and loved him.

So can’t really answer that one.

 

The only layup Starscream fans have over Soundwave is Armada. He's the ONLY good one.

 

I’ll admit EarthSpark season 1 had me loving Screamer and Wave…/now I’m firmly about Wave. Looks badass with that alt and has some emotional moments? Yeah love Wave.
