Did anybody play with Starcom back in the 80's? I had a few. I remembered they were pretty cool, but no where near as popular as other toys. Anybody have any in their collection? What was your favorite? easily one of the coolest toy lines of all time. i wish i could find all the toys i had as a kid (i got them mostly as hand-me-downs) but im thinking about starting a collection again, the star max bomber is the big white ship. ive actually been watching a few episodes recently on youtube, i cant believe how this show never picked up. it actually used to be on circulation even in like 2002 around where i live.
I have the StarCom Starbase Command Center, the Railgunner, the Battle Crane, THe Starhawk Fighter( It has 2 cocpits), And 8 of the good guy figures. of the Badguys I have, The Shadow Vampire, the Shadow Bat, The Shadow Raider, And 4 Shadow Parasites (They are the Small triangular shaped fighters) and 12 of the Badguys. I am looking for the Shadow BlastTrack , the Shadow Bandit and the Shadow Upriser
Chktiger \m/ I used to have some as a kid: starmax, the lil good guy jet, the laser rat, the lil bad guy plane, the lil bad guy buggy as per chktiger post. Currently have a shadow raider, vampire? The vtol one as per chktiger post n lil bad guy plane. I actually think these are way awesome despite not popular. My all time fave lines would be tf, mask n starcom who beats out motu just by a hair.
Had most of them at some point. I'm gonna go out on a limb and suggest that since Coleco went bust before the last year of toys could be distributed in the US, they just didn't have the marketing resources to compete with some of the big 80s toy lines.
I haven't seen many listed on ebay at all. Especially haven't seen any MIB. I wouldn't mind getting all the jets, but I don't care for the ground vehicles. Pretty cool collection you've got there!

Most likely because the cartoon marketing push wasnt very good. But prettu good distro especially in europe. Another similar scaled line with a gimmick i liked was sky commander but thats another thread altogether. Like mask, starcom has a small but loyal fanbase and info is easy to come by.
Id be content just to get a starmax, an eagle/falcon?, a laser rat for the good guys, the bad guy tank n buggy for the baddie. Just keeping the vamp for trade fodder at this point. Starmax loading bay in particular is hella sweet. Need another parasite tho.
Sweet, just saw this on Ebay. Tempting, very tempting. But I'd rather complete my Transformers collection before starting another one.
