Finally decided to see the “Twins” episode and HOLY PRIMUS it was awesome!

It's interesting to see this is much more of a pure international animation showcase than just "the anime Star Wars", in fact only one Japanese studio this season (and a Korean one, the definitions of what anime is can be rather subjective).

 

I am glad to see Wedge Antilles back.

 

They saw it got a positive response and wanted in.

 

So what is this? A ‘Love Death and Robots’ but for Star Wars?

Yes, just standalone stories done by different studios.

last season it was predominantly Japanese studios, this season its more global.

some really great shorts have come out of it.

 

I like to think of it more as a animated take on that Dark Horse anthology comic series "Star Wars Tales". A bunch of different creators cutting loose and not letting canon get in the way.

 

Pretty much.

 

UH HUH! The clips were hilarious as is.

EDIT: Having now seen it, a couple awesome details I noticed:

First off, Denis Lawson returning as Wedge made the episode *Chef’s kiss* as is

Second off, with the outfit, black version of the Queen’s cruiser from Episode I, and even the mini Death Star that’s equipped, I’m almost certain that Julen’s mom (Dorota) is a Sith

 

I think Sith, Screecher's Reach, I Am Your Mother and The Spy Dancer were my favorites.
