Well in case you missed the mini review in the other thread I'll rereview them here.

    Vader -
Well simply put he is very mediocre. He is neither great nor is he a total turd. He suffers some problems. First off appearance wise his is bland. Looks ok but not very exciting. He is roughly the size of a small BW/BM mega. The price point is about right for the size for the toy. But it is just plain unappealing. His arms are a little floppy and hand won't lock out in place. His cape is ok. He looks a lot better in vehicle than in robot.
Overall I would give vader a C or a C-. Only get him if you want to see what the line is like.

    Grevious -
I thought he was going to be the good one when i saw pics. Sadly he is utter crap. He is very floppy, can't stand up straight. Looks like a gimp lurching forward to one side. He is VERY back heavy. He has a mid thigh and bicep joints that pop off constantly. I give him a big fat F. Poor quality for a piss poor figure.

the only possible saving grace for this line could be Fett. But I am very iffy about getting even him now. I may gamble with him when i see him. but for now these turds are going back. Even if i have to say they broke (very believable with Grevious) I will get my money back on this crap..

Let this be a lesson to us. Never let a Star Wars person design a Transformer..

Both get an overall :thumbdown  from me.

I only got Vader, but I feel about the same way. The toy design feels like a throwback in a lot of ways.

The proportions on Vader are odd especially the shoulders. The spaceship mode is cool and so is the little Vader. The transformation is simple. He's barely worth the 14.99. Still, it'll do well just because of the novelty factor.

I'm gonna have to majorly disagree with ya, Ratface. Grevious is AWESOME. Fun, innovative transformation, and great-looking in both modes. Yeah, his legs pop off a little easily, but it's his only real flaw that I can see. Mine stands up fairly well, and all his other joints seem pretty solid. Me thinks you just got a bad one. I give Grevious a 9/10, Vader an 7.5/10 (because of the odd head/shoulders positioning and how the shield gets in the way of arm movement in robot mode) and Obi-Wan also gets a 7.5/10 (because of the odd robot mode proportions-- makes up some of the points lost for his very cool missile-firing lightsaber gimmick and flawless vehicle mode, though).

    I'm happy with 'em.

Yup. Same with Obi-Wan and Grevious. And they fit in their seats pretty solidly, too-- you can shake them around a little, especially Obi-Wan and Grevious, and they won't fall out of their seats at all.

Were these designed by the regular Transformers team at Hasbro? I ask because they do indeed look like a throwback to early Armada days, or even G2. There's just something... well... off about them, as if the designer wasn't used to Transformers at all.

I thought I'd read that the Star Wars team was responsible for these, rather than the main Transformers team.

Well, I just opened up Vader, and I am massively disappointed. Keep in mind that I'm probably a bit easier to please than the average TF fan too.

My first problem with the figure is the wing that forms the "cape". It won't stay together in vehicle mode, and I got annoyed pretty quickly with it flopping around in robot mode. Oh, and it makes him back-heavy too. Kind of a neat idea on paper, but in execution it's just annoying.

My second problem: The right hip ratchet is so weak that the figure can't stand on its own. Argh.

I'm going to give Luke a chance, but if he disappoints, I'm calling it quits for this line.

    -----------------------------

EDIT: Well, I broke out the old screwdriver to fix my new Rhinox's shoulders and figured I'd crack open Vader too. Turns out the loose leg ratchets are an easy fix. Just take out the two screws in the upper legs and disassemble. You'll see a tiny piece of plastic inserted in there that the gear clicks against in the ratchet joint. All you need to do is cut out a tiny piece of paper that can be inserted beneath that bit, and reassemble the leg. It should be much tighter now.

Although the heavy cape and lack of ankle joints still limits my posing options, ergh...

Got Grevious today and it's the last SW/TF toy I'll ever get....loose joints, worthless instructions (what is that little thing that supposedly folds in between the teo half of the bike into the body? It tore off as I was trying to transform it, and mine came with one of the beet backwards...I'm going to try and modify it, but what looked to be an awesome toy was a HUGE disappointment. Terrible terrible QC.

After going to nearly every walmart and target in the area, I finally found the SW Transformers. I think I've got a scalper in my area who's been buying them all. I passed on Vadar cause he looked like he had too much kibble underneath in TIE mode. THe one I really wanted was Kenobi, as I really like the Jedi Starfighter. He was alright, but I also noticed some of the same issues others have mentioned, i.e the floppiness and the back heaviness. Still pretty cool and I'm looking forward to the next wave, especially Boba Fett.

I was able to fix the looseness of my Grevious joints with some superglue. My arms were OK from the get-go, but the thighs were loose and popped off with a glance. Now it's all good and I can really enjoy the figure. Mind you I'd enjoy him MORE if he could hold on to his lightsabers, but I have to say I've modded him up from a C- to at least a B-.

That said, I got him because he was the best looking of the three, and I simply don't feel the product justified it's price (which, I want to add, is the same as the S6 Commandos everyone cries are too expensive). Until I hear the QC has improved, and see some models that I actually LIKE, I'll be steering clear of this line.

One good thing about this whole line that I forgot to mention was that the ships are very similar in size to the "Action Fleet" ships that used to be made by Galoob. They're a few dollars more than what the Action Fleet used to be, but still cheaper than the die cast ones they've recently come out with in a similar size. Those die cast ones have hardly any moving features, such as wings. So, it's nice to basically have a continuation of the Action Fleet with the added bonus of them being able to transform.

I have the vader TF and I don't know what you thought you saw, but there is no kibble on him at all in TIE mode?? sure ifyou hold him up to look at its underside, you can see paint aps that are for the 'bot mode, but since when is that unusual? The toy would've been nearly perfect had they cut little slots on each side of the cockpit, so the shoulders could slide upwards just a fraction in bot mode, kind of like how they do on Megalo Convoy; then his proportions would've been actually really nice, and this wouldn't have taken away from the TIE mode at all.

Thanks, now I have to drill and cut the $15 figure I just bought.

You're absolutely right, I'm also trying to figure out how to drop the head down a ways. It's way to far up.

Drop the head, raise the shoulders...and you've got a decent bot mode.

I don't know what to tell you, MMM... the problem is the head has a post, the post mounts into that swivel, which has its OWN post that sticks into the hole in the cockpit window. You could pop the head off and remove the swiveling base, trim that flimsy ruber neck piece (its just in the front) and throw away the swivel for a headmaster-type transformation where the head would just get tossed into the body, but you'd have to use putty or something to pad the head's post so that it would actually fit snugly into the cockpit window. Pain in the ass if you ask me *L*

Wow... Odd to see nice reviews after my X-wing/Luke purchase. He's floppy, floppy, loose, and floppy. And that's before you transform him.

This pretty much sums up my thoughts on the figure. Picked him up today and was very meh about it. The Tie Fighter mode is great... but the Vader mode just looks wrong.

Gotta say I am done with this line, as this was the only figure that actually interested me.
