Depends. They were going to have Ewan do a Force Ghost appearance with Yoda for TLJ, but they decided it might be weird to have prequel Ben with Luke since he only ever interacted with Alec Guiness Ben, but the emotional connection with Yoda was there so they went with that.

I feel like they could put Ewan in some makeup and Old Man Cap him a bit and he’d look fine as something close to Alec Ben, though. If nothing else they could get Stephen Stanton to do the voice (like how Sam Witwer still voiced Maul while Ray Park played him in Solo).

The latest rumor suggests that it will be a limited series, only 6 - 8 episodes. If true, I think that's a good decision. I can't imagine an ongoing Obi-Wan show. But limiting it to a certain amount of episodes would be great. Definitely looking forward to seeing what they do with it, Obi-Wan was always one of my favorites. I hope it's small scale and confined to Tatooine.

I really hope so. I've been looking forward to seeing more Boba Fett since they announced these movies. Although I'm glad Josh Trank's version isn't happening. But I still really want to see Fett get his own story in movie or show format. Preferably post-ROTJ.

 

I think it is Legends now but there was an Obi-Wan movie just set on tatooine that had him helping out a family that owned some store out in the desert. It was a surprising good book. I'd be fine if the series was like that

 

Would have been fun to have ghost Obi-Wan be the one to destroy that tree and remarking "I wasn't kidding when I told Vader I'd be more powerful than he could possibly imagine".

 

People obviously forgot about the KOTOR sand people. They are surprisingly intuitive, and scrappy. If they are a big role in this series/movie, then that is good inspiration.

 

If this show does get made, I think Obi Wan ends up being a glorified guest star with some young female character as the lead.

 

I don't know, they managed to avoid that in Solo. While I don't particularly like Qi'ra, she didn't really function as the main character or steal the movie from Han, he was definitely the lead.

I'm sure this show will have a prominent female character (maybe even a co-lead). But I don't really mind that, if it's done well. It could actually be fun to have Obi-Wan (who's somewhat legalistic and uppity) team up with a younger female, and have them butt heads about how to accomplish a mission or something. She makes Obi-Wan use a blaster because a lightsaber would be too high-profile. Something like that could be a lot of fun.

 

I always hoped they could get Joel Edgerton to come back as Owen Lars -- would make for a good foil for Ewan's Obi-Wan. Plus, that's some pretty decent star power.
