Man, that SF sure is bright. Are you gonna mod your other sabers?

Nah, I'm not skilled or patient enough to mod them.

I must be out of my damned mind because I'm thinking about buying a Dooku.

I have the opportunity to get a Force FX Jedi Luke saber for $60. Is that a good deal?

    Heck yeah that is!

Make sure it's the Force FX and not Ultimate FX though.

I believe Force FX = metal and Ultimate FX = plastic.

Ultimate FX blades are also much shorter.

I'm suddenly remembering how a year ago I saw on craigslist two Maul Master Replicas for $50 total and I didn't get it because it's 20 minutes of driving to get it.

    FUCK.

Damn I wish I could afford these sabers :(  Alas, Ultimate FX will have to do for me. But they are loads of fun with the kids :)

If you can, pick up the two Disney ones. The Kylo and Vader ones are really good and yet cheaper the Ultimate FX ones at TRU.

I'm going to The Disney Store next weekend and picking a Kylo Ultimate FX saber. I already have a Vader UFX saber from TRU that came out a couple years ago. Is the Disney version any different?

The blades are red and there's a lock effect feature.

When you put pressure on the main blade, it acts like it's locked with another saber.

I have been browsing this thread for a while, contemplating getting a saber. My gut instinct is to go with one that has a removeable blade, but this would only be for display. Would this seem pointless getting a sabre with a removeable blade? I assume many display theirs with the blade on them right? Just curious what you guys generally do for display purposes.

Mine is displayed with the blade on, even though it's removable. When I am eventually able to get a job and save up, I'm getting a saber with a removable hilt and probably the Ren saber to customize it to the point of removing the blades and rewiring it so the LED string becomes a single LED.

Removable blades pretty much are so you can carry the hilt on your belt. Otherwise, yeah, there really isn't a point on taking the blade off.
