Sorry for the really late reply, but I don't plan on dueling with it so the ignition switch being rough on the hands wont bother me. Thanks for the info though, and I noticed both you and Razer are in Virginia too so heyo from Charlottesville!
Currently I'm considering a dual ended saber from US. It's about the same price as a 12v Apprentice saber from SF for two sabers, anyways, plus ship time should be faster than SF's Etsy shop. Only negatives I see are that I'm paying for two generic looking sabers, but I can probably email them asking for the glowing buttons instead of one's that look like they're from Home Depot. I wonder if I can ask them to see if they can find two of their grab bags with the same design for it too since grab bag takes a shorter time than other stunt orders, but that's probably asking too much. You've spent at least $1500 by now, haven't you?
Just checked again and now I'm getting not available to ship too. I guess they sold out. But it was available even as late as yesterday when I checked.
Had some Barnes and Noble coupons and they had Luke's saber so I got it for $125. Not terrible. Fucked up the grips but whatever not worth an extra $25
So after much conversation with my wife, we ordered two lightsabers as gifts for each other for Christmas. She wants to make a Jedi costume for the Rebel Legion, so I said I'd join her. We ordered from Ultrasabers. I got the Aeon LEv4 and she picked out the Aeon v4. We went with cheaper options to start out with. We went with the tri-led in the agean silver with color discs.
So dumb Hasbro puts a fucking yellow sticker in between the rubber grips and it leaves a residue when you peel so I used some nail polish remover to get the residue out and it fucked up the grip. Didn't think it would have any effect on it but I was wrong. It isn't super noticeable but annoying, but I'm not sure it's worth returning and buying another for $50 more since B&N only had the one.
