let’s have some fun, who else you got?

I got Lotso from Toy Story 3 as Palpatine and Charles Muntz as Dooku. Who should Syndrome be, Maul or Kylo? Kylo would kinda fit since he’s the wannabe hero gone bad, but Maul is cooler and stays evil.

    Frozone can be Mace. :lol

Today marks ten years since one of the very, very best episodes of Star Wars ever produced - The Lawless.

And also one year since Grogu found his paths diverged, a master trained his apprentice, two generations of Skywalker’s came together for the first time, and most of all, a stranger came from the desert.

Seeing some tweets that Return of the Jedi was added to Dolby’s theatrical release schedule for April 28th!

What a disaster. It's surreal that we had a movie every year between 2015 and 2019, and now they can't get anything off the ground. Not that we need a movie every year (I'd honestly kind of prefer every other year), but it's just weird that Disney and Lucasfilm seem to have no clue what to do with this brand.

And I’m sure nothing of value was lost.
But I’m sure that if you ask Rian Johnson, he’ll say his trilogy is still a ‘go’.

Bear in mind that creating Star Wars content is very, very hard.
Kathleen Kennedy Claims Star Wars Films Have No Source Material
“There’s no source material. We don’t have comic books. we don’t have 800-page novels, we don’t have anything other than passionate storytellers who get together and talk about what the next iteration might be.”

Absolutely nothing going back to the 70’s to draw inspiration from. Nothing. Nada. Zip.

Probably because of a number of crummy shows.

They should spend hundreds of millions of dollars per year making good movies that are massive hits, liked by both fans and casual audiences alike, rake in tons of cash and are critical successes. I mean how hard can it be? It took me barely any effort at all to come up with the idea, all they have to do is successfully execute it. The fact they haven’t done it proves that KK and Lucasfilm are failures and everyone should be fired.

Also, they should avoid the Marvel mistake by not overworking their visual effects people, however the effects better be amazing and seamless and not use the Volume or I will tell everyone how bad the CG is and how everything looks fake.

I really do miss the old days when Lucas and co. had a firm grasp on the franchise and were banging out hit after hit like Star Wars: Droids, the Christmas special, Caravan of Courage, and Ewoks: The Battle for Endor.

Favreau has EP, writer, and creator credits on The Book of Boba Fett. He should be fired too.

Cause he wrote all the Mando episodes they crammed in the 2nd half when they realized how bad their series was. You know the only episodes worth watching in that show. If it wasn't for those episodes most people would have stopped watching after episode 3. They basically took the original first two episodes of Season 3 of the Mandalorian and shoved them into Boba Fett in a last minute desperate attempt to fix the series.

He has those credits on all 7 episodes.

You’ve pointed out how weak Favreau is because he allowed his own creation to be butchered and shoved into another trash pile, and I agree with you. That’s definitely the kind of guy they should get rid of if they want to be successful. They need strong, independent leaders, not sycophantic yes men willing to burn their own house down to please Kathleen Kennedy.

Fire KK, fire Favreau, and fire Bob Iger for letting all this happen on his watch. George Lucas would be rolling in his grave if he knew what became of his beautiful creation.

Yes that's what happens when you create a character. George Lucas gets creator credits on all Star Wars shows even if he did no work on them. It's not doing things to please Kathy, more like working around bad ideas your boss comes up with and still trying to make a good product. The head of a studio and executive producers have a lot of power, and if she says do something, he can't always get away with disregarding her opinion and do what he wants, she's the boss, she out ranks him at the company. Also he was mostly hands off till the second half. He was working on another project while this was being filmed. Robert Rodrigez was directing the episodes and he decided to focus more on Boba's persona life over bounty hunting.
This goes into a little more detail.

Giving an example of how he’s both weak AND negligent isn’t exactly doing much for your case.

Favreau couldn’t even be bothered filling a parking lot with sand and filming outside in natural light for his series. Instead we got the adventures of Faceless Space Knight and The Muppet in the land of the featureless video box.
