The Rise Of Skywalker is such a terrible name.
Which would not break my heart in the slightest. I've no doubt Disney will make more SW movies - they'd be stupid NOT to - but c'mon, time to stop kissing the Original Trilogy's ^$$ with more sequels and Prequels-That-Are-Not-THOSE-Prequels-So-Relax-Folks.
Biggest news so far, gift shops at the Star Wars theme park will be selling Monkey Lizards -
Quiet day today aside from Fallen Order. Mandolorian, Clone Wars and Marvel tomorrow.
Ooh, I’m gonna need one of those...
Marvel Announces Target Vader Miniseries
Anyone here familiar with Valance?
Looks pretty run of the mill. Nothing they couldn’t have made 10 years ago. I wish they’d make something new.
I was disappointed not to see gameplay. E3 maybe?
Anyway EA are making all the right noises - singleplayer, no microtransactions, no lootboxes. I adored the previous singleplayer lightsaber focused games so they have my attention.
If you could rename The Last Jedi, what would it be?
IT bugs me that they used the word Jedi again for a title.
And that it pretty much serves as a massive "fuck you" towards the other SW film title called Return of the Jedi rrrrrrrrreeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaalllllllllllllllllllyyyyyy did not help in any matters.
^ How when the Jedi were gone during the OT era, and Luke not giving in to the Dark Side was essentially that return of what was "before" him? Neither title cancels each other out because even if there were a cadre of Jedi who Luke trained, yet were killed off by Kylo Ren, that post-Imperial era would still constitute a "return." It's akin to the Old Republic era having the Sith Empire returning. OK, we know they will eventually be defeated, and you will be left with one last Sith who creates their Rule of Two. It doesn't cancel out the period of time where the Sith returned simply because one Sith is left in the aftermath.
Man, seeing that brings back good memories. Those comics are among te only Marvel comics I genuinely enjoy. I think I have one of those issues somewhere.
Boy, there's just been a lot of stuff going on with Star Wars this Weekend. I would have thought they would save all that for May 4th.
Have we ever had any really, really big reveals on May the 4th? It's usually always saved for Celebration like this, it's the bigger event
Have to say folks, I think it's going to be good year for Star Wars.
The Mandalorian looks fucking awesome, Sheev back to make Episode 9 fun regurdless of how good it ends up being, new Clone Wars episodes look pretty decent (and I don't even really like that show) and the vague possibility of a good Star Wars game for the first time in like 15 years.
That might be a decent comparison if the Sith Empire was already destroyed again in the story immediately following the first implication of their imminent return. Y'know, as opposed to "eventually". There's a line somewhere between a rise followed by a fall and a plain old psyche-out.
Episode VIII: "Everyone Is An Idiot"
