Only one out of six had anything and it was just the one case. The other stores just had one or two Finns if they had anything at all. They weren't with the toys, they were at this Star Wars display they had next to customer service (which is a long, long way from the toy section and there were no signs there were more figures over there) so that's why I'm thinking no one bought her all day. FM restocks overnight and I grabbed it her 7 pm, so I got reeeeally lucky that she sat there all day. I wouldn't even had noticed her if my gf and I weren't looking at the Halloween section which is next to customer service! She pointed out the display and noticed the 6" boxes went from 6 - 9 on the sides.

To add to that, someone at Rebelscum talked to managers for several different Disney stores and was given the following info: "The ep7 merchandise is being released in 3 major waves, the first one being force Friday, the next one being the start of the week of Oct 4th and then later a third unknown date. With each wave they will be restocking some items and releasing a few new items." They were also told the die cast Elite figures were going to be very limited (like 8 of each figure per store) and would be sold using a raffle system where you get there at opening, get a raffle ticket and then get your chance to buy a figure. I was looking forward to more Elite but if they're going to be that hard to get I'm just going to throw in the towell on them. This whole planned shortage thing is balls.
Yup. Extremely shity way of handling this merchandize. It works out well for the retailers, that's about it. I'm not fighting with crowds to get this stuff.
POTF2 Stormtroopers Potf 2 Stormtroopers. Does anyone still use these in their displays? Personally I use them in the back ranks the modern figures are up front. I know they have crazy proportions but they are nice and cheap if you are on a budget.
Man, like all things Hasbro, the zenith if their Star Wars line was in 2010. VOTC, Legacy, them vehicles, Clone Wars before going even cheaper, et al. The TFA line seems like a continuation of the 70's Kenner line but with better sculpting and cheaper construction. This is STAR WARS, the former leading action figure brand. It's sad to see how things have fallen.
Yet people are still going crazy over them. I vowed off Hasbro SW figures but I've still been buying some and most likely will continue. I'm going to try very hard to only get characters I want that I can't get from Bandai though.
I have yet to find a 6 inch Kylo Ren. The movie isn't even out yet, and I'm starting to hate Finn because that's the only figure I ever see!
I saw two today. Passed on both. Before you know it he'll be everywhere. There was even that article that said as much.
Picked up some Jawas today. Adorable little guys, and probably the best deal to be had with the 3.75 toys.
Finally found commander Cody. I didn't think I'd ever come across him. Now it's time for hasbro to give us a few more phase 2 clone commanders and some of their troops.. After all, they have the molds, they just need to add a couple accessories and a little paint. The more I see how difficult it is for people to find the black figures, the more thankful I am to have gone to the Walmart where no one went to on force Friday. I think I'm going to return the elite kylo ren and stormtrooper that I picked up. After seeing reviews, and how limited this line is going to be, I've lost interest in them.
Would be pretty easy to force Hasbro to put out better stuff. People just have to stop buying. But we know that won't happen. The truth is that what happens with action figures doesn't really matter. It's a trivial pursuit that nobody takes seriously. In a world full of problems, nobody is losing any sleep over lost points of articulation, imperfectly painted eyes, etc. I've been cutting back heavily, myself. Skyrocketing prices are making the hobby too expensive. I started buying electronic "toys": new computers, a tablet, hologram keyboard, etc.
I saw about 10 today and tons of Finn, Chewy & Rey I've seen 1 single stormtrooper who I want several of and zero Captain Phasma which is the one I want MOST
I am on the hunt for a close to retail price for a Black series Captain Phasma.... Can anybody help ?
I assembled the Bandai 1/12 C-3PO kit tonight. Pretty gorgeous kit overall and a blast to put together. The finished figure isn't quite as articulated as I'd like but he has enough to give him 'life'. I love that it feels more like an action figure and less like a fragile model. Now to wait for that R2/BB8 set!
I hope Disney Store restocks TFA Elite Series figures. I haven't tracked down Kylo and Flametrooper for my MIB set. Kicking myself for not buying 2 complete sets on Force Friday.
