No worries. Walmart's website is terrible. I still can't find either by just searching, so the links definitely helped. Thanks!

I always appreciate your posts - passion, insight, context, history all rolled into 1.

the spoiler portion got me thinking. I’m a xennial and have a love/hate relationship with spoilers. For sure, like you said, if the movie’s value is primarily related to the “spoiler”, that is problematic. You have to have substance beyond that. I rewatch Infinity War, ESB, the Sixth Sense, Se7en, etc because the journey is great despite knowing the twist/outcome. It *does* take away from things when you are spoiled though, which I get, but twists/Easter eggs are usually not the backbone of stories. I’d have preferred to not know that Andrew and Tobey were coming back for NWH or that Daredevil was going to make a cameo, but that didn’t ruin the movie.

I also think Star Wars is associated with old people because it just is old. It’s kind of like Jurassic Park or the Matrix or T2…the stuff in them is “normal” now. It isn’t that kids these days wouldn’t watch and appreciate them, but unless you were around before they came out to really appreciate how groundbreaking they were, that extra level of mind melting that cements them as legendary isn’t there.

    "It's the Resistance!"

Happy May 4th! I grabbed this pic the other day to celebrate, here's my current MGS Resistance Fleet! Falcon is a WIP, looking forward to finishing it when I'm back home in a couple months. Also gonna have to pick up a few more A-Wings for repaints!

    Oh...

So I broke down and got the two Retro Collection box sets of the O12.

I really think new retro OT stuff like Mon Mothma in the Jedi pack are what would drive a lot of excitement. It's generally what I feel I see fans clamoring for.

With that in mind, A New Hope has another 9 vintage retro figures (counting Boba Fett, which you may not as he's been done on a different cardback). And Tarkin has been done.

I think it would be interesting to break down the remaining 8 by "theme" and fill them out with never before done vintage figures and "last 17" remakes. (Although I think maybe "last 17" remakes shouldn't be 1:1 both because of the insane collectible value and because the line had evolved too much by then.)

    Cantina Adventure set of 6:

    1. Greedo
    2. Momaw Nadon aka Hammerhead
    3. Zutton aka Snaggletooth (Crazy thought: tall AND red, as opposed to tall blue or short red)
    4. Ponda Baba aka Walrus Man
    5. Saelt-Marae aka Yakface (Vintage POTF1 based mold in PotF2 colors with a vinyl robe ala Obi Wan)
    6. Luke Skywalker (Yavin, New -- odd fit but you'll see two more Lukes and this set is the best fit of the 3)

    Tatooine 6 Pack
    1. Luke Skywalker X-Wing Pilot
    2. Gonk aka Power Droid
    3. R5-D4
    4. Biggs Darklighter (Civilian, New)
    5. Owen Lars (New)
    6. Beru Lars (New)

    Death Star 6 Pack
    1. Death Star Droid
    2. Imperial Gunner
    3. Admiral Motti (New)
    4. Wedge Antilles (New)
    5. Jan Dodonna (New)
    6. Luke Skywalker Stormtrooper Disguise

I think that would pretty thoroughly cover Episode 4. Basically, this list accounts for the remaining 8 figures in the original line (combining the Snaggletooths into one slightly more accurate version), the three A New Hope figures in "the final 17", and what I think are the 7 most important remaining characters.

The big remaining figures I could see a need for are:

    Han Solo (Yavin)
    Leia Organa (Yavin)
    Garven Dreis aka Red Leader
    John Branon X-Wing Pilot
    Biggs Darklighter X-Wing Pilot
    Jek Porkins X-Wing Pilot
    Han Solo Stormtrooper Disguise
    Death Squad Trooper
    Death Star Scanning Specialist
    Admiral Ylarin
    General Tagge

And, of course, another dozen Cantina characters.

Thanks! I actually love how Enoch looks, and I think my neighbors heard my scream when I heard it was a Walmart exclusive. But, order placed, so far, so good.

Grabbed a black series Mace and clone pack and TVC phase 2 clone trooper 4 pack. I placed an order earlier this morning for 2 of the black series clone/ battle droid packs also. Hopefully that concludes my may 4th purchases this year.

Got in. Luckily nothing I need. Weird that my 10% for being a Marvel Unlimited member saves me money on the Micro Galaxy set but not the Black Series one.
