I got my 6” ROTJ Boba Fett today. His helmet was totally squished in the package so now it’s totally tapered at the bottom and looks super ridiculous. This is my first black series figure, is this a common issue or did I just get a crappy figure? It’s a real shame because it’s otherwise a great looking toy but my appreciation for it is greatly diminished because of his dumb looking helmet.
I would say that you got a defective figure. First problem I've heard about with the helmet being like that across three different sites I frequent.
If it's squished in from the sides there seems to have been a problem with the inner tray squeezing the helmet too tightly. Seen a mention about open them up and doing a little re-shaping with hot water to get the helmet looking proper again. Doesn't help anyone who's not an opener, but that's what I've been reading so far. Hope that helps!

I've read about the helmet issue on Jedi Temple Archives, Yakface and several places on Instagram. It is a production wide issue with the BS Deluxe ROTJ Boba Fett. As Dark Jedi mentioned, hot water seems to do the trick. The three figures we have, ALL have the issue. I ran mine under hot water for a few seconds, squished it the other way and then "flash froze" it with cold water while still holding the helmet in the shape I wanted.
Mine’s still sitting in a POL at BBTS, so I suppose I’ll have to be on the lookout for this issue when it’s shipped
funny because it is exactly the same complaint I've seen from every site I've read about him! Some hot water does the trick to restore the natural shape apparently
I don't know if it's like a second codename for the recent Clone Wars figures. But they said there is a new Father's Day display at Target with new codenames for Black Series like Apple, Apricot, ect. I can't comment on that particular figure since I don't have it. But I haven't had any issues like that with other Black Series figures. From time to time I've gotten figures from random lines I collect that are warped in the package. I just heat it up with a hair dryer on medium heat for 1-2 minutes.
We could really use a Rey with the yellow saber they went out of their way to close the movie on without ever making a toy of. If they can make a Storm Trooper Luke and a Storm Trooper Luke who is a bit dirty from the trash compactor, they could at least do that. Never mind that one of her looks has never been released with face printing outside of a theme park exclusive box set, and one of them hasn't gotten it at all. Or that if Leia had an outfit in the OT that she wore long gloves with in some scenes but not in others we would already have both figures by now. But we have seen the consequences of what happens when Star Wars is made for anyone other than 40-50 year olds, and we must never forget. ____ Really the least they could do is an Archives Wave of TFA Rey, Finn, Poe, Hux, Kylo Ren, and TLJ Rose with face printing. Well, not face printing for Kylo, that figure didn't have a face. But we shouldn't have to beg for table scraps for some of the top grossing movies ever made. I'm pretty sure Adam Driver sealed his contract up right against using his likeness (which he is very self conscious of) because very few toys of him use it, and the best ones still look more like a young Alan Rickman than him.
It is an issue with all of them due to packaging tray. I did the hair dryer on trick to warm it up a bit.
Huh. Honestly haven't seen anyone complaining about it on the forums I frequent nor seen anyone here mention it before now. Mine is still in my POL at BBTS so I haven't handled him yet. Guess I'll have to apply the fix when I get him. Ridiculous that the package is actually warping the figure.
