It is very much a thing. Sometimes when figures don't show up, or seemingly hardly show up at the normal brick and mortar stores....and it's been a while...somehow stores like Ross will have them. But from what I'm aware, there's not really a consistency so checking there every once in a while (or whenever you can) can pay off :)  A buddy of mine found some old convention exclusive GI Joes there, I've found some BS star wars figures there...and even a RTS windcharger at Ross when he was apparently nowhere to be found at TRU, Walmart or Target.

No I understood the concept as I got a $5 RTS Jazz at Ross and I've seen one person get ML Cyclops there for $3 but I wasn't aware that Rex ended up there too. He's a pretty solid figure and chances are people are going to regret not buying him when they did since more Clones coming out is pretty much a given.

Lol, right? My local store has those guys plus Jyn Erso, Kylo Ren and Canto...all at least twice the price of Luke and not nearly as desirable...and Luke goes on clearance.

Because it was apparently part of the father’s day product assortment, not a toys department product. Just like all event products, once the event is over the product is clearanced out. Same with the Retro Collection; I found Vader and Chewie for $2.99

That just seems crazy. I mean, I realize these special event products don't account for a large portion of their overall toy inventory or revenue, but you'd think they would move them over to the regular toy aisle for a little while before sending them to the circular file given the nature of these particular items.

I am so sick of Jyn and Cassian. A Target near me has 2 full pegs in the clearance section of just them. Considering they came out of nowhere one day, it has to be people buying them on clearance elsewhere and returning them to Target.

Agreed. Interestingly enough, Target brings in extra inventory simply to close out. They are still making money on their clearanced goods and sell a ton of it when people believe they are getting a deal.

Man that Boba Fett and that other set i really wanna buy both. Just hope they both are not over inflated prices cause it's got a sdcc on it. Well I'm gonna have to get those 2 Star Wars sets and now to see what transformers does. I know the MP-10 has the Ghostbusters theme and it really cool but I'm having second thoughts on how to pay for it.

You can’t do things that make sense. I swear Hasbro saves all of their best items for SDCC and retailer exclusives. When it is something for retail, 1 per case lol wtf?

Was looking at my retro collection and thinking. Do you think they will make a wave 2? Containing maybe c3p0, r2d2 or obi wan?

Picked up a full set of the reto collection. Would of passed on this set, but at $3.26 each why not, maybe will find a 2nd Vader and a few more Stormtroopers. It is surprising that R2D2 and C3P0 were not made, maybe a series 2 set will have the droids with a Yoda and a Jawa.
