how many exist? i've got the first magnolia fan edits of 1 and 2, and had heard he was doing all 6 movies completely redone, but havent heard anything since and dont even know where to look...so, what are the good ones that i should try to hunt down?

what's the deal about fan edits? i came across a fan edit of the TF movie and gawd, about 80 percent of his edits=fail. okay, he took out certain scenes that i absolutely hated in the movie- Sam hawking things instead of giving a report in class, for example, but a lot of them just weren't really necessary. besides, if you are a fan of the movie, why cut it apart like that? the one fan project i like to hear about are shot for shot remakes- like the famous one done by kids over 7 years to remake Raiders of the Lost Ark- and i have been dying to see it because aside from them replacing the monkey with a dog, they get it 98 percent down. that is high flattery to a director from a fan. too bad Spielberg has kinda canned the movie so no one else can really see it. shoulda been part of a Special Edition DVD/Blu-Ray set. but as for fan edits, whatever. i don't endorse em.
i like seeing what people can do with movies. its a different point of view...and the two SW episode 1 and 2 edits i have VASTLY improve the movie, so it works quite well..
